I was interested in the LED Race Display Performance Steering Wheel for our cars, but needed confirmation on compatibility.

The M2 item for the Competition has the matte weave surround trim piece:
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...-race-display/

The M3 / M4 is the gloss carbon surround trim piece that will match our interior nicely:
https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1...f80-m3-f82-m4/

Is the M3 / M4 item compatible with the CS?

Logic has me thinking that the bean counters at BMW wouldn't create a whole new part like this and maybe the trim piece is the only modification to the wheel.

I tried the search and read through a few threads for a definitive answer to no avail..

This one in particular:
M Performance Steering wheel?
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1250799

Thanks for any help!
Yes, I can confirm for you that it fits. All the F series (1,2,3,4) electronic steering wheels are cross compatible aside from 5 series and above.

I've seen a M2 electronic wheel successfully fitted to a M140i

The wiring harness connecting to the FEM module is the same, reading the same signals. The difference is in the steering wheel / trim piece.

Saw this on eBay. Alcantara wrapped on an OEM piece.
Looks like a good option for anyone wanting a change from the OEM plastic or the CF trim.
sdhotwn - an alternate which keeps the M logo!!!

My CS is still on the boat headed over, so no car yet... BUT, I ordered my exhaust to add to the stockpile of parts! Remus Sport axle back with CF tips paired with a non-res AA EL mid. I had no one to share my excitement with... so here I am!

Its small, but I'm shooting for quality, not quantity here

MP CF Steering wheel trim
MP HAS kit suspension
IND black badges
IND painted reflector
Acexxon rear reflector delete
Valentine 1 radar detector

I had to stop myself today from throwing in an eventuri intake with my remus order. That one I'll wait til I have the car in my driveway lol.

How's it ride on KW HAS? Also, do you no longer have the ability to change the dynamic suspension modes? (Comfort, sport, sport plus)?

The modes still work as they did as the HAS arent true coilovers. Ride is great..a touch firmed but very planted and very little bounciness if any on rough roads

Frequent talk about upgrading shifter, clutch pedal, CDV, etc. Along these lines. Is anyone upgrading brake fluid for street use, or considering replacing the clutch lines and brake lines with stainless braided lines or something else. Or, are the stock lines for both good? I'd like to believe this would have been addressed by bmw if they were an issue, but it's also cheaper to use the Comp lines.

Historically if I'm upgrading brake fluid and transmission hardware I also upgraded the brake and clutch lines.

Has anyone put on a guard for the bottom oil cooler yet? I know they exist for the M2C, but don't know if they fit the M2 CS or not.

After only a couple of drives the radiators on this car have already took a beating.

They always do. The guard will not keep rocks and gravel from hitting the oil cooler. It is only going to stop large items like a peeled tire retread, log or large debris from hitting the cooler, and those are the kinds of things that can cause catastrophic failure with rapid oil loss. The openings are several inches wide.

I am surprised they didn't attach and heavy duty mesh to it, but they wanted to be sure it did not restrict air flow at all.

CCA money just arrived. Inquiring about the SSK. What setup have you gone with if getting one? We should have tried for a group buy. But that likely creates a longer wait time.

Go BIG or go HOME! My first (and only) mod!

I was setting the pressures on my 1M for a track day Saturday, and decided to check and set the CS pressures also. The track car lives most of its life with the valve stem caps removed...such a waste! Since they were all off, to the CS they go.

PM me if you need DIY instructions....this isn't as easy as it looks, LOL
