Doesn't look like there's sag at all and according to Dinan above
"Gone is the unsightly sagging OE muffler of the M2 Competition. Replaced by a sleek and nearly invisible Dinan system making the hindquarters pleasing to the eye once again."

I mean...you can just use your eyes to confirm this looking at the first and last photo on their post.
Why you quoting me lol.. I know there's no sag. Was replying to the guy above.

Any pics from directly behind the car from a 10 ft distance to see how the exhaust sits?

I watched the video and looked at all of the pictures, and it definitely didn't appear like it, was just looking for confirmation. The cover pic suggests it might be poking out a bit, so still thought to float the question. It can look differently at different angles...

As nesnah pointed out, I am happy to admit I didn't bother reading the description (which suggests the sag factor is gone). It's obviously in their interest to say that, even if it does poke out a bit.

The axleback portion would not mate to the AA mid-pipe. Part of the reason its sold as a complete set.

Volume wise I would actually say the M2C is probably slightly louder. Tone wise they are pretty different however. The OG M2 exhaust is a bit deeper. S55 is just naturally more higher pitched.

Would not mate to the stock midpipe as we did not use the factory cut point in between the mid and axle back. For the life of me I don't remember the reason for doing this but then again its been almost 2 years since that development decision was made. I'll see if I can corner the main fabricator tomorrow from that project and see if he can shed some light on it. As such they will always be sold as a kit/pair.

Damn. Pretty high praise. Might have made one of the engineers blush.
I assume you didn't read like 3 posts down from the OP post?

The N55 tips were weld on so no they would not work. Any clamp-on tip that uses a 70mm inlet though would work.

Correct. CATs/OPFs remain intact so emissions are unaffected.

I get it, tips are a personal preference, but it's shocking not a single company makes something that looks OEM, just beefier. This looks promising nonetheless, and it's a strong price point. It's tempting to do this with a Dinan+ tune and calling it a day. Perhaps a combo deal is in order?

A couple other questions.. Would any old 70mm inlet exhaust tips fit this exhaust? Any idea how much weight this saves, if any? Thanks!
Combo deal would be up to the installing dealer at this juncture.

As far as the tips go any 70mm inlet clamp on-tips would be compatible if you wanted to switch them out. No weight savings over the stock exhaust. At least nothing of any value. I'm going off memory as it wasnt recorded being so marginal but I want to say it was within a few ounces of stock.

Not that it matters, just curious

Also, is it possible to use xph tips?
AA midpipe removes the secondary CATs/OPF to achieve power gains. The Dinan system leaves emissions components intact.

For tips -- ss long as XPH tips are clamp-on 70mm inlets they would work.

From our website we only ship to the US. You could still order it directly from numerous online vendors that ship internationally if needed. I'm sure a few forum vendors here could accomodate your request.

The signature and power package program is currently under review and if it does come back will be a vastly different program then what it once was.

Priced well and sounds good but to bad it's not flexible with other midpipes.
Guess I'll wait for the AA full length Exhaust

I love the way the tips sit behind the diffuser and not stick out like some cheap Meineke job.
Never considered an exhaust system until this one.
Will have to listen to video clips once I get home!

No weight savings over stock.

No longer tip lengths available at this time with the same inlet diameter. Perhaps in the future as the clamp-on tip exhaust catalog expands.

That looks great!! I love how it sits high up in the diffuser and does not stick out. I wish the tips were a tad bit smaller though. Nice work guys!

Dumb question but...what's an 'equal length' exhaust? I'm in the market for an axle back and am considering Akra and Remus. Remus also make an x-pipe connector but I'm concerned that may be too loud. This also looks and sounds good and is a couple grand less than the Akra. Cheers.

Dinan BMW F87 M2C Axle Back Exhaust + X-Pipe Systems

Part Number(s): D660-0082 & D660-0082-BLK
Applications:
  • 2019-2020 F87 M2C

Awesome Dinan - you guys will do well with this. I beat you guys up a little more than a year ago because... well, it was taking quite a while to release the product. I ended up going Remus - which is solid BTW. But... I'm contemplating another M2C build, and now you've got my attention. I have the intake/x-pipe/axle-back on my F80 M3 and the tone is perfect.

Yeah, this particular release along with a handful of others really suffered in the transition of backend systems and raw suppliers. The M2C exhaust was just a bit more high profile than the rest. Good news is nearly all of those problem releases have come out, or are right around the corner, so more traditional development turnarounds can be expected. M340i exhaust as an example was actually first to market which is next to unheard of for legacy Dinan.

We hope it does well as well but we realize it is pretty late to market and has some limitations as it relates to pairing with other manufacturers components for those that have started elsewhere. We would like to think it makes a solid case for itself however and should be included in any conversation going forward for anyone looking to get a M2C exhaust.

I really like this. I would get this if I were exhaust shopping. Honestly though, I'm having such a hard time defending spending that much money (regardless of brand) on a nearly entire sound upgrade.
