If you are satisfied with what Carbahn promised and trust them then I guess that is all that matters. But I don't think having a discussion about what could potentially be a 5 digit repair bill is over thinking anything.

I will need to do some research on ppl who have made warranty claims with Carbahn and see what their experience has been. I haven't been in this community very long and so far search hasn't turned up much.

On a different note waldrops, did they say which tune you should use with the DP/intake? Did that matter for the warranty?

I wanted the stage one tune(whichever was 500ish whp) which is what my conversation was based upon.

Go look up warranty claims for Dinan. That should be all you need. Warranty repairs from Dinan pre-Steve Dinan leaving and starting Carbahn should be all you need to understand how the man handles his business/warranty repairs. Go back to the first page here and listen to all the podcast/videos I reference in my post. If that doesn't sell you on Carbahn, nothing will. And honestly, that's okay. No one is holding a gun to your head. Just, for gods sake, don't go with Noelle.

I did, it's very similar to stock programing, if not, identical.

SpaceX and NASA aren't the only ones counting down to blast off today. 🚀

I'll hold back my full comments on carbahn until I get more seat time. My drive home from the dealer happened to fall on probably our first warmer, sticky day in Phila. It wasn't the best setup on paper for a turbo car tune butt dyno test. That being said, I blinked and without trying ended up seeing a number on my dash that I could not believe. Allegedly.

Similar to you, I'm still gathering thoughts on a review. Although it's all mostly positive. One thing that I will tell you is that it'll smooth out over time. Mine felt a little rough over the rev range for the first week but now is as smooth as stock. I was quoted about 50 miles but it really took about 200 miles for things to really get ironed out.

Agree, can be surgey at first then it levels out after the adaptations take and you get used to the power delivery. Super smooth after the first 150/200 miles.

Did other folks get the burble/overrun option as well?

A good question. I paid for it so I could work with carbahn later on a very light burble (less than stock) but asked for no startup/overrun on my initial flash. I'm beginning to doubt that they weren't added as my startup and burbles seem equal to before. I'll call them tomorrow to sort it out and I'll have a good with/without comparison shortly. I'm getting the tablet and will flash the different files for my own sanity checking.

I thought the startup/overrun option was to enhance the stock behavior, meaning louder startup and more burbles in all modes.

I chose not to add it to mine because with the MPE, the burbles can get pretty annoying in Sport+. If there was an option to play around with it, I might try that. But was also told the for 2020 DME, tablet isn't an option.

If I have a February built 2019 M2C, is there a chance I still need to ship my DME or for sure I can just install it myself?

Also interested to know about ability to tune burbles. With the Dinan exhaust I find the burbles in sport + are a bit annoying. I would really love it at sport burbles with sport+ throttle response.

Let us know when you find out about ability to tune burble behavior.

I'm road tripping out from Denver to Carbahn next week. Scheduled to drop it off the M2C on Thurs/18 Jun and pick it up on Mon/22 June.

They're going to install the Mishimoto heat exchanger, VTT CBC and M3/4 intake ducting at the same time.

I'll spend the weekend with my wife and a bunch of friends doing Napa and having a big 50th birthday party for my wife. Then Monday, I'll pick up the car and start driving up the coast towards Seattle. I'll spend some time with my father in Gig Harbor (over the bridge from Seattle), and then mosey home to Denver at the end of the month.

I figure that'll be a good test of the software.

I'll talk to Chris when I drop it off about the burbles/start-up roar. I'm on the fence with it. Keeping the stock exhaust for now, but might end up with the Dinan eventually.

Is the Mishimoto charge cooler needed for your tune or are you doing it as preventative measure?

I totally agree with you, when in sport + the car sounds broken with all them pops.

Changing out the heat exchanger simply because I'm figured it wan't all that much, and it will decrease the charge by 10-15 degrees.

BMW crippled the M2C on cooling-- I'm just helping it out a bit.

It wasn't outrageous, and I was sort of in the neighborhood since I wanted to do the CBC (as preventative) and the M3/4 intakes (again, fixing BMW's crippling of the car).

Ya based on all the posts here about charge cooler issues I think it's a great idea. I'm also going to upgrade it soon. There's three ive been thinking about and they're CSF, Mishimoto, or Evolution of Speed. Right now leaning towards EOS one...
