just went into bmw for a quick warranty service and the salesman said the comp till be 125k driveway. not sure if this is retail, but its the price they want before negotiation (?) which is 10k more than the retail price for the LCI..

i hope this isn't true, in thinking that if it is, the next generation M2 will be at that price range too

Don't suppose you have a screenshot of the Pure pricing as well?

I heard that back in March they had a LOT of M2 stock, if they still do I'd imagine getting a similar price might still be possible.

Are the Pure's all LCI cars as well? Someone told me only the standard M2 was. I want a manual and I'm not fussed about the things missing from the Pure so would get that as long as it has the LCI changes...

I'm not sure on the Pure, the email quoted prices were only for M2, pure pricing was not specified in email. The Pures did go LCI Sep 17 builds same as M2, I was quoted a price by South Yarra and was about to purchase a pure LCI until they reneged on the price right at the end and then claimed no stock. Didn't end up buying.

I don't understand how they can call it the competition model but then the brakes are optional. IMO anything performance related should be standard and creature comforts optional.

Any way hope the 125k is not true as with brakes and a couple of options u are at 130k

Yep I would of thought the brakes would be standard, at least in Australia. In this case I would assume ~115k base driveway and ~125k all options.

the standard brakes (as with current M2) are identical to standard fitment on M3/M4 Comp packs, difference is those cars can option the carbon brakes whereas the M2C brake option are I think identical to the standard M5 brakes.

This is true. They asked 81K for the LBB pure (Sunroof and M seatbelt) in stock which was built in Nov 17 and just at the dock at that time. I managed to negotiate it further down to 78K and paid it with my credit card.

Excellent price!

Ah so sad there is yet to be any information on base price for the M2C yet for Australia and then there is other getting delivery dates already.

I looking at getting the M2C in LBB. Have put down a small deposit to get a slot which is refundable if I change my mind or the new price is too steep.

I am hoping it's around $115K then add the bigger brakes and a few other things bringing it to just over $120K. I think that's reasonable.

It's annoyingly that pricing is provided for the US and Europe already. Some even have build dates.

Why does BMW treat Australia like second class citizens?

I assume this was back in March? Was that the drive away price mate? I saw in Motor this month there are $8,500 deposit bonuses now so thinking this is a price they can get to again... Might make some calls in the morning...

Had an email from a dealer I spoke to recently that said they are now taking orders for the M2C with estimated delivery from September this year. I asked do they have the pricing yet and he said "Drive away prices are approximately $120,000 based on the options".

This must mean they have some idea about the base price.

Yes you can find these links on the internet but they just go to the BMW website. Would be interesting to see what offers they have on any M2 allocations they have arriving.

Yup I actually placed a deposit on an M2C on the weekend. The dealer had been allocated 3 build slots in July and I have one of them. Still, no firm price but they have been given an indication of the uplift from the M2 Coupe and my contract has a clause that they will adjust the price down if the released price is cheaper.

Now I just have to play the waiting game...

bwhouse surprised you got a spot this late in the game. From others I have spoken with dealers are about 5-10 deep on the wait list.

Congrats regardless and hope it pans out for you.

Are you able to share what they think is the uplift from the current M2 price?

Yup, that is what one dealer told me. But got lucky and found a dealer that had no one the waitlist

Got a price from a BMW dealership in Sydney to be approx 117k and to be confirmed. No options on the car. Apparently they have sold one for 124k already.

Too much for my liking.

That sounds about right. I think about a 6% increase. That price would have all the extras including brakes and sunroof.

I think it would have been better if the included the brakes in the increased price though.
