This is a sill question. I ordered this OBD2 attachment because it was listed in a thread in another forum.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I didn't find this thread until after I ordered it but it looks like most are ordering this one.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FU5MVI8...=1TNGQJNZ7WK6I

Are they pretty much the same thing? Or should I order the one in the second link?

I ordered this one and it works perfectly

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FU5MVI8...=1TNGQJNZ7WK6I

however, the direct link from the bimmercode webpage is this one

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

both are the same

Thanks. I'm pretty excited to start doing some coding so I didn't want to delay it more.

Hi All,

New here and having fun with my new 430i GC and Bimmercode...

I have successfully programmed my driver side easy seat entry using the method that other threads refer to:
Quote:
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = "Modus_FA_SLV"
3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 28
3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 3C
This is done in expert mode using the SEAT MODULE DRIVER section in Bimmercode. However, I don't see a way to program the passenger side? Anyone know if the passenger side can be done with Bimmercode?

Also, I noticed several other areas in expert mode that specifically say EASY_ENTRY. Specifically the following:
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EASY_ENTRY
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EASY_ENTRY_TTB
3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EASY_ENTRY_BEI_TUER_HIN...

Anyone know what those do?

It would be cool it there's some other way to program the easy seat entry to function like this: http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.ph...4&cat=0&page=3

No on the rev match. Seatbelt is under the advanced crash safety module.

I accidentally disabled Rev match by disabling "clutch in" when starting car. I forget if it's supposed to be toggled on or off as it's been a long time since I've looked.

That is awesome. Thank you. I just that on my race cars but had not done that on the M2. Good one!

ID6 vs. ID6 lite on 2017 (non touch screen)?

Was just looking through the latest update, and see the HMI ID version options now in include ID6 in addition to ID6 lite...

Can anybody comment usefulness of selecting this on a MY17 car? Particularly any additional functionality or any down sides? Seems like either outcome(s) could be possible.

Wondering if anyone's tried it already....

Id6 is for models with touch screens not for M2s

Haven't seen anyone else have a CEL thrown after coding.

What CEL is the car throwing?

go to settings and activate "slow data connection" then save setting. go back, disconnect, and reconnect and see if now available to you. that is the only module that requires a slow data connection to read/write to on my vehicle.

Anyone know how to change the 5 series graphic to an M2/2series in ID6 lite?

I like the features of id6, but can't stand it with the wrong car on the screen.

Asked this a few times but noones responded

Some codes will throw an error while rebooting. But it will go back to normal status.

Learned something new today. Not sure if anyone already figured this out. If you have Carplay, it connects via wifi when you pair the bluetooth with your phone. What happens after that is as you're trying to connect to VLINK (Vgate wifi), it'll keep disconnecting from VLINK wifi. You have to get out of Carplay, disable Bluetooth and unjoin the Carplay wifi.

Where can I find the "Display Current Gear" setting. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Also, is it available for manual transmission? -thanks

Check this post: for DCT, M2 can show current gear. For 6MT, it only shows gear to change to....but it's not very good at it...
