This happened to me too. They are just backed up. Double check to make sure your car is priority 1 status. Call your CA and have them out to the carrier.

My diff was fixed about 2 weeks ago in NJ, it is now in Baltimore and has had 2 more work orders opened on the car and no one will tell me what is going on. No eta or even an estimated delivery date. I second the CF and ridiculousness of this. So frustrated, disappointed...

Call customer relations and demand they escalate your case to a manager. Also, ask them what the WO is in regards to.

Lol by the way I'm still trying to figure out if my diff was fixed or not because no one seems to know.

Go to post 23 of this thread and try calling Jess. Standard Customer Relations people don't respond in my experience. Skip the line.

I went to Jess. I made the original post on pg 23. I had just been holding off on escalating because they had been taking care of me... Now the wheels have fallen of so to speak, so up the chain I go.

I'm surprised. Jess has been great with me. Very good communication and on top of things.

I expect that he will be fine, but I haven't heard from him yet. I sent an email to him yesterday for the first time. We will see...

He has been very responsive from the get go with my situation. I'm sure he will take care of you and find an amicable solution.

I was obviously super angry with BMW but The solution that we came up with has restored some of my faith in the brand.

it's the most annoying thing to see how BMW is handling all this. To know people's cars are ok to be delivered and yet BMW doesn't given people their cars is bulls**t. 70K cars and they handle it like this. it's not right

Update on new diff

So I received my car 500km ago with new differential. This week I started hearing a clunk from the rear, pretty sure it would be the diff. Sounds pretty much identical to driving over a loose manhole/sewer cover...metal clunk. Yay!

Anyone else experiencing anything similar with new or old diff? The original one I had made no noises at all over 2500km.

Thanks

I had clunks at just over a week old (I missed the withhold notice by 2 days). By agreement the car was taken off the road to ensure nothing failed and any possible damage was done beyond the diff. Of course we have all become (a bit) wiser over the weeks and it appears it was safe to drive. Now repaired my M3 seems to be behaving fine (fingers and toes crossed!). I am still puzzled by the explanation that the issue does not arise until about 12,000 miles!

Apology if this has been discussed but cannot locate in thread. Were cars during the entire month of July affected, or only through 7/4 date specified. I just picked up my F80, and although my vehicle had production date of 7/29, the dealer made me sign the waiver. Is there a way to check based on the VIN?

The affected cars were produced from May 12th to July 4th. Your 07/29 day is unaffected.

That's a quick turnaround! I got an email back from Jess and he handed off to someone with an email of @bmwnaext, which I wonder isn't external help to deal with the current situation. Fingers crossed!
That is BMW Executive Care.
