I think the one on this M2 is black, if that's the case was head of a department which is a very high position. Intern one'd say he's G13 the highest level being G15 which is the board of management (their cars don't have stickers because of security reasons).
May he rest in peace, my prayers are with his family.

I know that place very well, was my way to work for years.
The last days over here we had cold and damp nights.
08:00 in the morning streets are still slippy, bad and dangerous left turn hanging to the right with trees very close to the street right and some smaller trees and bushes left hand side, just leaving the city limits right before, alsmost everybody pulls the trigger there.
Very sad to hear, please stay safe everybody!!

How sad, it breaks my heart. 8 am would have been cold and damp...That was really bad luck that the hit was right in the driver's door, anywhere else and it would have probably been non-lethal.

Just horrible. Very humbling and just shows how fragile we actually are.

Several airbags deployed. The steering wheel airbag didn't. All depends on parameters serving one common goal: offering the best protection for those on board either by deploying or by not-deploying.

For a brief explanation: see for example here ("Reader’s Choice: Why Didn’t the Airbags Deploy?").

The human body has limits in sustaining high G-forces. See for example here ("Force on Driver in Example Car Crash").

In my motorcycle forum fatal accidents are way too routine. Let's not let that happen around here.

Doesn't matter, I lost a friend to a tree, also..

The accident investigator said that if the front had collided instead of the side, she would of most likely survive..

Cars a made nowadays to absorb front end impact more so than the side.. Even the engine has breakaway mounts for this sole purpose..

RIP.

Probably one of the worse ways to hit a tree. Hard to survive a crash like this at the drivers door. May he Rest In Peace.

This sort of reminds me of the guy in Europe driving his M2 super fast after a car show and then later crashed in an OG M2 coupe years ago. Right before he crashed some of it was caught on video. What ever happened to him? Did he make a full recovery? Anyone know?

You're referring to the horrific M2 crash in Scotland in 2017:
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1393759
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland...tland-40239879

According to the press back then, the driver (22) and his girlfriend (20) sustained serious injuries when things went very wrong after a few high-speed fly-by drives after a car meeting.

Sometimes we forget how precious and fragile life can be and how fast it can change at the snap of a finger. Someone's family member will not be returning home tonight sad so sad.
