SMB is my favorite color on a car. Yours looks amazing!
Can you share pics of the door jambs, engine, trunk, and other areas that were not sprayed? Is this really as resilient as a 3m or Xpel clear wrap/paint protection? This seems to be worlds different than plasti-dip, correct? Thank you. |

A little more San Marino Blue for your viewing pleasure... from yesterday's Fall Colors Tour by the BMWCCA Portland Group. Foggy start but a great day of twisty mountain roads brought out the midday sun.

None at all. I've put over 2500 miles on it, much of it hard, spirited driving with the BMW CCA/NW Chapter here, including some roads with gravel etc, and it hasn't shown any wear whatsoever. Looks like new!

M2PDX you still around? Last activity was back in Nov.
What did this cost you again? I'm considering doing something to my AW M3CS...

WOW! This is possibly the nicest M2 I’ve ever seen. That colour is just amazing. Fantastic work.
What’s next on the mod list?? SMB painted cage inside and some fixed recaros would finish this off nicely? )) |

No plans at the present. Recaros would be nice! Just plans to drive it a lot this spring and summer on curvey back roads! |

Saw this color up close in person for the first time yesterday at my local dealership. It was on a ‘19 M3 and a ‘19 M4. I must say, it is a stunning color in person. If this was available on an M2, I most definitely would have got this color. Although, LBB is certainly not difficult on the eyes!

Are you going to be at the PNW Winter meet at Kuni in a few weeks? I'd love to see the Auto Flex Gloss in person. I'm seriously contemplating doing Yas Marina Blue or Gregio Telesto on mine here in the next year.

Absolutely love the color, pretty much everything you've done, the 763M rims, etc. I take delivery on my Black Sapphire Metallic '20 M2 Competition in 2-3 weeks and am seriously considering the San Marino Blue like yours... just wondering how the coating is standing up to the elements? Any issues or concerns? If you were getting a new M2C, would you do it again? Or do anything differently??? Thanks... appreciate any and all comments!!!
Charlie[/QUOTE] Charlie, I've had the Autoflex on the car for a 18 months, and it looks brand new! I'll do a major post here soon, but here's one picture to show what it looks like now. I keep it garaged, washed and regularly waxed. With the new Autoflex Express, it's important to ceramic coat it, and then it will be even stronger and more durable. For half the cost of the wrap, it's twice as good as any wrap, and everyone thinks its BMW paint straight from the factory. San Marino Blue M2 UPDATE with P H O T O S
Many of you saw our earlier post about the M2 build, in San Marino Blue.
Since we couldn't order one from the factory, we built one ourselves. And we took advantage of the latest technology for the color . . . Autoflex (or Ngenco, as it's known in Europe). This is not a wrap. It's sprayed, and applied just like traditional paint in a paint booth. This makes it less labor intensive than a wrap, fits the car better, doesn't have edges that can come off, and is more durable. It could be categorized as either flexible, peelable paint, or a sprayable wrap. It is an amazing technology, and applied right and by a professional, looks and behaves exactly like real paint. PLUS . . . this way you can have an Imola Red M2, or a Dakar Yellow M2, or . . . a San Marino Blue M2! And since the upcoming M2CS won't be available in any of these colors, we'll have to rely on Autoflex/Ngenco to help bring one or two to life! We have . . . of course, done other mods: --Dinan coilover suspension --Dinan carbon fiber intake --BMW Motorsport 763s --Fabspeed catted downpipe --Bootmod3 tune level 2 --Burger clutch stop --Lightweight front lip Many more pictures can be found on our Insta. Look for B M W M 2 4 _ 7 We have other plans as we move forward too! Stay tuned.
