East coast DME unlock.

I'm in West Virginia. Any recommendations on a shop on East Coast that can do bench unlock of updated DME to allow bootmod3? May do down pipes and crank hub at same time. I'm not interested in removing my DME and mailing it anywhere.

Maybe I'll see you sometime on the road, I'm in Huntington with 2018 LCI N55 powered M2.

FYI in case you haven't read that now with new dealer software any tune applied is immediately flagged for loss of power train warranty. Pay to play moving forward. Actually latest Bosch DME's totally changed low level encryption and bench unlocks aren't even an option.

I haven't tuned mine yet. Guy I was talking to at Cars & Coffee in Bridgeport WV this past weekend bought a Carbahn tune with supplemental warranty that he was happy with. He has a 2019 though and didnt need unlocked. There are some Carbahn dealers in central / eastern PA which are not super far from me, but are pretty far from you.

There is a Dinan partner dealership in Sewickly, PA that is not super far from me. I bought an Audi there before. The same guy from cars and coffee says the Sewickly dealership won't do the m2c tunes, says there is not enough demand to get trained. I haven't called them to verify.

That is the extent of the digging around I have done: I am not in a hurry. I do plan to tune it eventually

I believe GMP Performance of Charlotte/Mooresville NC can do it. They tested on my 2020 M2 Comp.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I wanted to see if any other options have appeared in the last 4 years. I'm surprised there isn't someone doing bench unlocks in the DC area.

Enabled can do it remote.

Unless something has changed very recently you definitely need to send him 6/20+ DME's for unlock.

What does that mean? So he can do it now? Doesn't matter for me personally. Was just responding to the previous post. Mine is a pre 6/2020 and he already tuned mine. BTW - this post from him was just 2 months ago regarding post 6/20 DMEs

EDIT - I just reached out to Enabled and he did confirm post 6/20 DMEs still have to be sent to him for unlock so I guess that clears that up

Yup. that was the post 6/20 DME's I few years ago he couldn't but then figured it out, but you still have to ship to him with those ones.
Mine similar to yours June '19 build 2020. I had a local shop do the unlock (they did not have to remove DME) and then I had Enabled tune remote.
Tune is awesome and his customer service across the board pre/post sale has been fantastic. As many have said...very OEM, smooth power delivery. We have made some small tweaks as well post tune install to change start up routine (drastically shorten), added Euro MDM, and some braking tweaks

Definitely not possible via remote for 06/2020+
That would be bench flash only, but at least it's possible to unlock for OBD tuning.

For DMEs/ cars before 06/2020, I have a way to do it via correspondence, without taking out the DME, but it requires some labor on the owner's part.

Gonna need your help with this here in a week or two. I unfortunately will be getting a software update on mine that's gonna lock my dme.

Why update it? Any actual benefits from it?

I drove a tuned GTR today and now it's leaving me wanting more power. Was trying to hold off as the warranty on my CS runs out in December but Enabled I think I'll be sending you my dme soon lol
