Competition badge
Hey all. As I reflect on it, this is the most first world problem thing but it has been driving me crazy. Picked up a low mileage used M2C and am loving it so far. The one thing that is driving me crazy is the competition badge.
There is a M2, M2C and M2CS. Why would they put a black bar underlining the M2 and write competition in it rather than just have a badge that reads "M2c"? It seems like it would look cleaner and is more like the BMW badges used to be, for example a 335i xdrive being "335 xi". I apologize if this topic has been brought up before but did not see it so thought I would see if I am crazy thinking a M2c badge would have looked nicer |

Funny you say that but I think the M2CS badge on the back looks a little plain compared to the Competition badge.

Hmm. It is mainly people on this board that call it an M2C. Most call it the M2 Competition.

I felt the same way and I debated the rear of my 2021. I love the clean look. I felt the badge design was busy and cumbersome, I didn't get a lot of love on this forum for my choice, but it works for me! |

Same, I actually much prefer the m2c badge on the rear. Out of the M2, M2C and M2CS
The C badge seems to be the best visually for me (personal preference of course).

Haha not going to take it off. Don't like the debadged look and removing just the competition part makes it look like a different car. Wouldn't remove the "40i" from a M240i to make it read M2 and wouldn't remove the competition bar from this to make it read M2. Each car is awesome in it's own right and should be seen for what it is.
I just wanted to complain about personal aesthetics with no real solution |

The "Competition" badge is BMW's new branding for all the M Competition models now. The last M Competition models that only had black M badging rather than the extra "Competition" badge was the F series M3/M4. When I first saw pictures I thought it looked a bit cheap and I was considering removing it. By the time my M2C actually showed up, I didn't care anymore. Personally, I'd either keep both the M2 and Competition badges or debadge the whole thing.
