Sure, the headlights are of the newer style and they look nice, but subjectively not that much better. Wireless phone charging seems slow and cumbersome, and the WiFi hotspot is really a niche need.

I suppose my question is, why did you spec your vehicle with or without executive package? Am I missing something here? Or is the purchase of this option really just a consequence of the fact that there aren't any other options to add to the car besides the color and moonroof?
I wanted the adaptive headlights and heated steering wheel.
Nuff said Hahahah 🤣🤣🤣

Give me a raw base, 6MT, no packages any day!
I'll save the $1,200 for some mods.
There is nothing "raw" about M2C without executive package. It's the only package available and adds a few options that don't make the car any heavier or less driver focused.

This "raw" nonsense is getting old. This is a BMW, which was designed with creature comforts in mind. If you want raw, get an older M car from the 90's.

I get that you and others want to desperately save $1200, but quit calling it raw. I prefer "option-less" or "peasant" M2C, which doesn't make it raw by any stretch of the imagination.
No one is trying to desperately save $1200 after spending $60k+ on a car.

Some people just don't want the package. It's not that fucking complicated.

"Peasant" edition M2C, sign me up!

Agree, car is not as raw by any stretch of the imagination compared to older M3s...

This is what is truly happening, dealers are adding executive package to their orders as "standard" and so is probably 90% of the people putting orders because of XYZ reasons that I respect...It's going to be reallyyy hard to find a "peasant", not raw, M2C on the lots...More leverage for me...

Heyy dealer, you have a 2021 sitting on the lot for X number of months, I dont reallyyy care for the Executive Package, lets take X off the MSRP and call it a day Im sure BMW is already making crazy margin on this car why give them more of my money?

Either way, for you all, I still love the car with or without the executive package.

I think I might be in that “trying to save money on an expensive car” bucket. I gave myself a budget of $60k, and in order to get there with taxes and fees included, it had to be sans executive package. Then again, I’m probably old fashioned in that I will never finance a car.

That's BS talk right there.

Believe it or not, $1200 is a lot of money to most people, even on a $60k car. It's a make or break for some folks. Some people are in fact desperately trying to save the 1200.

Angry much?

Nobody said it was complicated. This thread exists because somebody asked why people order the exec pack. In some people's delusional mindset, not having it makes the car more "raw", which is the ridiculous part.

Last I checked, nobody is forcing you to buy the exec pack. People need to get over themselves and stop justifying the exclusion of it with this rawness analogy.

Often times, the difference between including/excluding exec pack comes down to negotiations.

In some people's delusional mindset, not having it makes the car more "raw", which is the ridiculous part. Considering that many of us here got anywhere between 8-10% off sticker on 2021 M2C, we probably paid less for the car with exec pack than most people did in prior years without it.

Guys let's just take a deep breath and calm down. Let's look at this debate objectively.

You either get the exec. package or you ride the bus like the freaking filth that you are!!!!

I got it literally only for the fancy adaptive headlights

No but seriously I just thought down the line I might regret not getting it, rather drop the extra $1200 now then spend 4-5 years regretting I didnt.

I’m one of the peasants that skipped the exec pkg. I just like round headlights (or more specifically in the modern age, round halos). It WAS an iconic BMW design feature. IMO they should have reimagined the round headlights (admittedly they could have done better) even though the HEX’s do look good. BMW’s should have round headlights just like Ferrari’s and Corvettes (SMH) should have round taillights. Time will tell if it was the right decision, think the 2002. At the time when they changed to square taillights it was all the rage. Today, many prefer the round taillights.

0530 drive to work, 52* F with windows down and heated steering wheel on. Bright ass headlights on.

Listening to the beautiful sound of my M2C with toasty warm hands and missed 2 different deer and a possum trying to cross the road.

A few of the reasons I got the executive package.

Same. This comment right here should have just been the end of the thread.

And before people start griping "how often does anyone use the heated steering wheel?" I use mine all the damn time during Fall and Winter.

everything on the package is junk except the headlights so i imagine most thought $1200 for the upgraded headlights was a deal... i could have cared less if i found one wo them

I'm a baller cuz, that's why....and I didn't have to order mine, I found i stuck at the port waiting on a recall fix and it just happened to have it, (but not a sunroof).

Really though, for the extra amperage USB port and trick headlights...and not knowing the wireless charger sucked, why wouldn't one order the Executive Pkg?

Trying to justify saving $1200 when buying a borderline impractical car is hilarious. It may be the cheapest M car, but it's still a $60k compact. It's like Donny T trying to act like a common blue collar guy.

The only good reason NOT to want it is only if the car will be track use only.

I dunno, it's just, like, my opinion man.

I guess you're the authority on who should get exec packages. Thanks for the heads up, Is it cool if I ask you how to option my next car and how I use it?

I went to the dealership to lease an X3 for the wife and dogs and left with the M2C in the showroom that wouldn't stop looking at me. It happened to have the executive package so obviously a lot of thought went into that decision...
