How to disable burbles?

Greetings.
What are the options for disabling burbles on M2 competition with locked dme?

Can dealer do it ? Maybe?

OBD flashers are out?

Only bench unlock?

Thanks.

Off course that now it must be super difficult to remove them, since we can't flash.

Are there any other options?

And why exactly are you unable to flash the m2c? Warranty loss?

I have to say I turned ASD off and the car gets so quiet you barely hear the burbles or exhuast at all. Cost 30-50E with bimmercode and its warranty friendly.

Out of curiosity what do you consider " fakery and restricitons"?

I need to do a bench unlock, and as I understand i need to pull out my dme out? So pain in the ass, and warranty.

ASD, Burbles , OPF, Rev match, (CDV). It would be nice if i could flash with MHD and customise all that.

Since i don't want to tune the car, flash with ecutek is not what i considered.

I'm assuming that changing the exhaust itself won't stop the burbles? The rev match can be turned off by turning off the traction control.

An exhaust doesn't sound good just because it's noisy and always popping lol and wanting a more refined exhaust tone doesn't mean they want it quiet.

While some people might like the pops , others think they make the car sound like a cheap tuner. 5 pops when I'm cruising 30kph and let my foot off the gas is just dumb....

Please keep the thread updated once you get the display installed. This will be the preferred route if true.

Pick up the car and drape it over your shoulder. Give it a few pats on it's back until you hear the burbles decrease in intensity. Doing this encourages any gas in it's system to be removed. New cars are generally quite gassy as they adjust to the fuels society provides, as opposed to the fuel provided by it's mother in the womb.

There is OPF delete option, but as i understood insturictions , installation is more involved than just display.

Indeed the OPF sensors must be replaced/modified so the display can send false signals.

OPF is really not a restriction appart from noise. You can get plenty of power out of an OPF S55 car and the OPFs dont make that big a delta on throttle response.

The bench unlock can be done without removing the ECU. There must be a tuner in München that can do it in the car.

I would try ASD off first and see how you like it. The revmatching sounds a bit annoying :/

I don't like the burbles. It's like ASD. Why fake it? It's silly and nothing to do with actual performance. Sounds weird too. popop bang bang lol.

They have a functional purpose. To reduce off-throttle turbo lag, by detonating in the turbofold to spool the turbo on decel.

People just don't know the reason and assume it's some attention getting feature.

I never tried it when my car was stock, so not sure if someone with a stock car can feel a difference, but I can definitely tell a difference with my car how it's built today. Let off the gas, get back on it while burbles are happening. Do the same but get back on after burbles finish. Feel the difference in lag.
