I googled BMW electric seats vs manual seats. This guy weighed his manual and electric seats, he said that the two manual seats were a total of 11 lbs. lighter.
http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/archi.../t-426082.html
They were 3 series seats, but the ratio could be similar.

I don't see why BMW would bother doing a CSL on this frame when in 2 years they'll transition to CLAR with a ~50kg/100lb drop in body weight. Any CLAR 2 series will be lighter than the OG M2, even w/o CSL form. The 2019 4-door 3 series will be a little lighter than the OG M2 and the new 4-door M3 may be lighter than OG M2 as well.

It seems that a Z4M coupe would be the lightest and sportiest car BMW can practically make in the next couple of years.

CSL will probably be M2C + CF parts and a tune.

So 111 lbs is NOT a shitload (but 150 lbs - using BMW's 3450 to 3600) would be?

It's never been a shitload for me..

150 I would not notice.

I tracked my M2 with and without a passenger and it felt the same, I do it for fun, not as a professional.

But half the forum here made a shit show because it was 150 and stated it could be more since BMW was usually not on the mark with weights listed.

Yea, I admit I am generally annoyed about sports/sporty cars getting heavier (can you believe they added 7 lbs to the 2019 Miata! ) but I am sure I could not feel the difference if a car that's already a little porky, pushing nearly 3500 lbs, added roughly the equivalent of a couple bags of concrete.

Ya know, I have been reading 'the great weight debate' for the past couple of months since the information has started to trickle out and only had one thought: I wish I was rich. Like stupid rich. Like FU money rich. Cause I would absolutely LOVE to be able to have 5 identically looking M2's lined up (just so it would not be a 50/50 guess), where say 2 or 3 out of the 5 were the 150 or so pounds heavier and then offer $10,000 to those that could drive them back to back all they wanted on an identical circuit and be able to tell the difference.

In other words: there is a VERY and I mean VERY small percentage of those that are bitching about weight that are good enough drivers to be able to tell the difference. Statistically, there is just no way that that many of the people complaining are that high of level of driver. And by difference I am talking either lap times or ass-o-meter. Give Randy Pobst the ~180 lbs. heavier car and he will still whoop all of our asses. Most of those that talking about spending 5-10k on carbon fiber parts to make your car lighter would actually be faster spending that money on training and track time. It's your money, spend it on whatever makes your boat float. But don't lie to yourself by saying the extra weight is what would hold you back in terms of performance.

I was gonna say DCT but then I realized this car was a manual.

My M4 was a "stripper". Only options were Comp Pack and Full Leather. No exec etc.

I don't think so. DCT only adds 55 lbs.

Relatively but overall 3600lb for such a small car isn't great. Its just the world we live in now days tho. Even the new 911s are bigger and heavier.

In retrospect, my DCT e92 M3 weighed 3600 lbs.

Yeah my E92 felt noticeably heavier than my M4 did. But it was loaded with DCT. It probably was 150-200lb more.

I wonder how much of the weight feeling is even the weight of the car vs the EPS tuning. I mean really its all fake feedback anyway right?

lol - don't forget it was 3600lbs and then I added 359M wheels. With those anchors, it was at least 8000lbs.
