A lot of dealers won't do this sort of work. The whole assembly is a single part from bmw you can't just swap out the button from them if yours gets faded or whatever.

Just a heads up so you can anticipate pushback.

I did mine without any major issues (and I am a pretty big dumbass).

Just ordered mine today for my 2017 m240i. Tried going the cheap route through Amazon (Sorry Mike). Didn't fit AT ALL. I really hope this fits as good as OEM. The putty really worked well on getting the original one out though, so I'm gonna try that with this one. Oh that reminds me....gonna have to take a small piece of it before I send it back.....they give you 3x more than you need anyway.
