Anyone have experience with Aim Solo 2 DL?

Am thinking of picking up an AIM Solo 2 DL datalogger and possibly their smartycam HD as well. I had a couple questions.

I want to connec the datalogger via CANbus rather than OBD, but I did not see any documentation for this on their website. Has anyone done this? Did you use the 2 series documentation/driver? (F22)

Would love to pick someones brain in general on how they like this setup. I am slightly concerned with the SmartyCam only being 720p rather than a proper 1080p that everyone else uses. The audio also sucks, so I'll likely use some external microphones to get good audio.

I use an AIM solo DL. Love the low touch requirement once it's setup vs Harry's or other lap timers. Has also been reliable.

I connect only through OBD 2 but am looking to go directly into ECU at some point to get additional channels not available on OBD 2, such as brake pressure. I pair it with my go pro 3 and then put the two files together with race render. Simple enough to do.

Yeah, using my gopro was going to be my first plan, and maybe later getting the smartycam (hopefully they'll support 1080p@60fps by then).

Glad its working well for you, I am going that direction for the same reason you did. Love the simple setup and not having to muck with harrys laptimer. Plus, I was having issues getting HLT to activate my gopro anyways. (Hero 7 Black)
