Fantastic build.

What are the weight savings with carbon fiber roof and other carbon fiber parts?

How do you like Ohlins coilovers?

Looks fantastic.

I absolutely love that roof skin vs the crappy skin BMW is now selling for the M2.

who did the cf roof install? I'm thinking about having IND do it, but they are kind of far away.

When looking at the list of components it doesn't seem like cost was much of a consideration that and the rest of the carbon was BMW.

It was custom installed, as a CF roof is only standard on the M2 CS

The car itself came with iDrive4 in Hong Kong with GPS, so I had iDrive6 EVO (8.8" Touch Screen) installed at a local guy that can also have CarPlay enabled.

I installed the Autosolutions SSK (with Red 80A bushings from Ron) and the Turner bushing, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if they acted separately to give you the best shifting action. It's impossible to miss the gates now. You get no wiggle, and there's a firm mechanical feel. Of course there's a bit of gearbox whine that you will hear, but I think that trade-off is well worth it.

Same reason why M2/M2C has identical springs/shocks, cost

Where I live the traffic police don't like big GT style spoilers so I wouldn't install it. The M-Perf CF trunk looks a bit incomplete to my eyes with the middle part "missing". I am thinking maybe the spoiler from the M2 CS? I guess it'll match the lines of the CF roof but then I don't want to pretend to be an M2 CS.

I have full car PPF, and that helps a lot. That and I have a cleaning service that comes to the car at my parking garage to wipe down the car every other day; only cost $34 USD a month.

The CF Roof is about half the weight of the original roof. The hood and the fenders is about half the weight of the original as well. The effect of the weight savings was quite easy to tell and feel because the front of the car got stiffer. The hood and the fenders lighten the very top surrounding of the car, the suspension has less weight pushing down.

I've since got rid of the Ohlins coilovers because they just aren't suitable for the roads here.
OEM: My kid would vomit during/after a drive
Ohlins: My wife asked me if my car was broken

A local shop in HK called Pioneer Motoring

Thank You, and actually I had put the badge back on for the Photoshoot. Now I am on the fence about taken it off again. I mean you can't really see the M and the 2.

If the styling of the MP roof matched the M3/M4/M2 CS I would have likely chose it.

I didn't use the M Performance one because the indent of the roof ended at the antenna with a U instead of flowing through the entire roof. There was also the issue that I wanted a 2x2 CF Roof to match all the MP parts that I want to use. Traditionally the CF roof is 1x1 CF and all the MP parts would be 2x2 CF, driving a lot of OCD people off the roof. It's also this very reason that I chose to paint over the hood buldge of the MP hood, that it was not in 1x1 CF.

Low, not really. But I don't get cramps anymore after long journeys because the seats are using a denser foam

It was the OCD me. This is my own take on the M2 CS It's still cheaper than buying an M2 CS

ashtaron14, thanks for the feedback about Ohlins coilovers. So - in essence no amount of adjustments could yield a more comfortable ride?

Updates: YCW Suspension, E90 Clutch Slave, MP Lip

I've actually been busy

I've been working with YCW Suspension since the end of January. They are basically MFactory's suspension division. The process is that I get my car weighed, cross weight recorded, data is calculated, spring rates are suggested, and then the suspension is built. After they are built, each shock is put onto the shock dyno to make sure the valving meets the target. Then it's installed onto the car. All this happens in Hong Kong, so for me it's local and I can get the support I need should I want to rebuild/revalve them in the future. Specs: Front 8K/Rear 12K Swift Springs.

Black & Orange to match the car and the stitching

Rebound adjustable, At the top mount for the front, and it's here for the rear

Did the E90 Clutch Slave mod. The pedal is lighter because the hole is bigger (less pressure for the same volume). I don't have trouble with launching the car in 1st and shifting from 1st to 2nd anymore. This clutch slave matches the programming of the Auto Match-Rev better than the stock one, but the downside is that there's the some sounds coming from the clutch pedal (was also in the E90, no idea how to explain, but it's only there when clutch is engaged).

The MP CF Front lip

In 2x2 CF

For me, nope. I've tried changing the spring rates from the recommended 9k/19k to 7k/14k. In the end I was at the softest 20/20 setting, and it was still uncomfortable. I've heard that you can go beyond 20 for the rear, and at 23-25 it'll be comfortable, but then that will be bad for the shock?

In any case I've moved on to YCW Suspension, and I am very happy with them.

Gaaaaaaawd damn.

I gotta say, +1 on loving the wheels, and the color combo here (especially with the new springs now!).

Beautiful build man.

It was looking relatively promising till you swapped out Ohlins for this other suspension. LOL
I do like what you did w the Recaro seats, mine may need reskinned as well.

And why would that be bad? Because we don't charge "brand tax"?

You can learn more about our suspension and who we are on our sales thread here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1722167
