Side Gill Removal

Morning all,

Could someone point me in the direction of a side gill removal instruction? (video would be great) I have not been able to find a good one yet!
Don't wish to mess everything up to fit the M Performance gills.

Thanks

This is probably the best DIY.

If you are just installing the black performance gills you don't have to remove the whole unit, just the chrome part and replace it with the black, simply wiggles off, just a 2 min job.

Thanks for reply,
Forgive this possibly silly question but isn't the M Performance Gill a complete gloss black unit? If that is the case i was hoping to find a ''how to'' remove the complete unit.

No it's not - only what was chrome becomes gloss black.

Nope, the only difference is the gloss black trim piece, the backing plate on both is exactly the same matte plastic.

If you want all gloss black you'll have to buy the painted versions from IND, or do it yourself.

I don't understand why people try to pry the black plastic base off when installing the gloss black gills. The chrome pieces really do come off quite easily, with just a little wiggling. Easy to snap the replacement gloss black pieces back into their place.

just get your fingernail under the chrome opposite og M2 logo an just lift up ,,,,it will just pop off.

then take the black piece off by just pushing in on tabs, then snap in on the black piece on car.

the old piece just look for someone to blackchrome it for later use.
