I think MHD should have a more complete changelog.

Not sure what the flap option does in traction and all-off mode. Is it Sport or Sport+ as well?
Flap is open in sport and sport plus, dsc off and traction stock.

The oem catted dp option just activates the cat monitoring for cars running the stock cat. The map itself is not changed.

Yes, to a point.
30% Ethanol is usually "the limit", but you'd have to find it out yourself by trial and effort. My last car 640i was fine with allmost half a tank of E85 and rest 98 (93). My current M2 doesn't handle ethanol nearly as well, if at all. Which is weird.

My M2 testing with MHD we found the E20 was the best we could get without the HPFP suffering. Although this is with the tune to match.
When I run stage2+ 102 Map I use 98 with 4 litres (1 gallon) and it's perfect

Does the MHD software disable the flash counter? That's the main difference I can find between this and BM3? Deciding which route to go.

MHD doesn't seem to care about the flash counter nor do they ever mention it first themselves. That's really one of BM3's selling points.

Are any of the ps2 maps for pump gas and no fuelling upgrades? If so how close do they push to the hpfp's limit?

Are you guys planning to add in one touch mafless or speed density operation support and launch control anytime soon?

Hope it has a sleep mode as well, I had a generic Bluetooth obd2 one on an older car and it killed the battery over a period of a well because it never went into standby.

Encryption with custom passwords would be good too, heard on the news some guy with a generic device got his cars ecu hacked and the key cloned, as well as someone getting their brakes locked up while driving on a drag strip.

Lately I've been using 98 stage 2+. I found the times really weren't any better. This was my best and it was on 98 tune. I still add 4ltrs to a tank though.

Your times are essentially the same across the 98, 102 and e20 maps?

On 98 ots I got best of 9.4.
No other times here in Australia to compare other than a lot in the UK where temps are a lot lower therefore will naturally get better times.
I would rather a healthy looking log than go balls out to better times by a fraction to then get misfires and codes.
Also I find that no one seems to have the balls to show logs either with the times they are getting to compare the different tunes out there....
Cmon put ya balls on the line I say

I suppose itís to be expected with ots maps. Iím going custom this year, just need to decide if Iím going hpfp as well. For example on 99 ron cars are doing mid 8s on a custom map where as ots seems to be in the low 9s.

Iíll share a bm3 99 and 102 log with 100-200 runs for you to look over.

DB,

Is that custom mapping from tuner direct or via BM3 ?

If paying for custom tuner's IP I guess they may prefer to do it outside of BM3 platform, so as their tuning P doesn't reside on BM3 servers ???

Cheers

Hi BP,

I presume you are referring to Ross Walkers comment regarding TTFS and using bm3 to custom tune. As far as Iím aware, custom tunes are locked and cannot be viewed in the editor. Anyone can buy a datalogger (obd device,jb4) and log a custom tune so I donít really see where Ross is coming from on that point.

The times Iíve mentioned come from a mixture of bm3/hcp custom tuned cars as well as other tuners not using bm3 on oem fuel system.

Cheers.

Hi DB & HNY,

That was my understanding too re custom tunes via BM3 or direct.

Either way, parameter data is a protected/locked file so being stored on the BM3 cloud is irrelevant if a tuner is concerned about tweaks to tables etc buried deep within DME.

Datalogging will show the output but surely won't show enough to reverse engineer custom tuned input parameters ?

BP
