Goodbye Differential Temperature Sensor

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Has anyone been unfortunate enough to hit a piece of metal on the road and shear this puppy in 2?

I searched RealOEM to find it is, in fact, the temp sensor for the diff oil. What I can't find is how it integrates into a harness. Anyone able to decode this?

The car drives fine with no idiot lights or warning messages (yet).

And thank you, dummy BMW engineer who thought this was acceptable placement for an exposed wire!

That’s nuts bad luck. I may check mine tomorrow for the “before” condition.

Truly a bad piece of luck. Goes to show, if it can happen, it will. Thanks for the heads up.
