Bootmod3 Stage 2 Boost Target vs Actual?
Hey everyone, I did some logging in my M2 today and noticed that the actual turbo boost pressure is like 2-2.5 psi below the target boost. In 2nd gear at WOT I make 15 initially and then it drops to about 11-12 by the time I shift at redline, then in 3rd gear I'm making about 14-14.5 till 6500 RPM. The boost target is 16.5 or something like that. Is this normal? I have attacked a screenshot of the log graph. Thanks!

Yeah no, that’s not normal. You should feel significant power loss I would think?
Here is my BM3 stage 2 93 to cross-reference. https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6162...90c67c64a9e49a Timing corrections aside, you’ll see what healthy boost v target looks like. Something has come loose or you’ve cracked your stock charge pipe. |

ER Charge Pipe CSF Intercooler, Radiator, Oil Cooler, Trans Cooler VRSF Downpipe NGK Sparkplugs 2 steps colder But yeah I logged some more and the wastegate duty cycle is pegged at 99-100%, so there's definitely a boost leak somewhere. Car feels quick but it doesn't blow my socks off the way I thought it would. I can still launch control fine, but from what I've heard it should just spin the tires in launch control at BM3 Stage 2. |
