For me it's my comfort access which had
issues at times detecting the key fob inside of the car.

The next issue is I had for a brief period of time near the beginning of my ownership ~0-4,000km of the car (I'm the first owner) a slight bit of Valvetronic ticking (occuring extremely intermittently and it happened under 20 times total) which is a symptom of a siezed and marred eccentric shaft and bad Valvetronic motor. However the issue has since completely disappeared leading me to believe the new parts just had to be bedded or broken in.

The next issue is my idrive apps disappeared, it doesn't bother me since I never used them.

Another issue is the passenger door takes more force to shut so it's probably misaligned, not a huge deal and I'll probably sort it out one day when I feel like it or if it bothers me enough.

The last issue would be the slight creaks and rattles from the rear of the car which is not linked to the diff. It should be pretty normal of any car to get slight rattles so I'm not worried.

So overall the car seems fine and pretty reliable imo.

What was the ECU issue? Was it repaired under warranty?

I suspect no since 90k is out of warranty.

after 25k I have had: fogged back lamps, I took to the dealer they fixed that and the clip in the back for the exhaust, it started rattling I took it in and was changed, other than that no issues. I am still on the original tires.

Just over 20k miles.

My only issues. Every once in a while I get a turn signal malfunction message, that flashes then goes off right away. The Idrive has randomly restarted a few times while driving.

That's it for me. My second service is coming up at the beginning of next year, so I may tell them about those issues, but it rarely happens, only about 2-3 times for each issue.

I will create a new post with the outcome.
What issue are you having with 1st gear? just curious, good luck with the situation.

I知 on 18k now on a pre LCI and I致e had the rear tail lights replaced twice for condensation, second time to the LCI lights. I知 now waiting for the rear turn signal error! Also had the horn replaced. Otherwise it痴 been faultless and I知 loving racking up the mileage in this car. I値l be averaging around 17k per annum now so I値l start to test the reliability over the next few years.

Going on 3 years this December. Only issues have been pebbles in the brake dust shields (which was remedied after an updated part came out) and a faulty eccentric shaft actuator (which was covered under warranty). Love this car to death and will keep it as long as possible.

hey, spaced and forgot to circle back. there was a shudder in first gear. they fought me on it until I emailed a few people at bmw. like the ceo. amazing how fast they took care of it then. basically a clutch took care of it, so for <$500 they lost me forever, I will never purchase a new bmw. that said I have close to 33k on it now and its been solid. I am probably going to keep the car which is how I wound back up on this thread. my warranty is up on 10/18, the tint job went sideways so I will get that redone for sure before in case they nick the amp during the install. the pilot sport 4s are a huge upgrade from the std pilots, much quieter and better stick in dry and wet. fun car, sounds great
