hmm....sceptical on the looks of the climate controls - doesn't fully convince me at the moment...but maybe it suits better when in full context of the rest of the dashboard

aside from swapping climate controls and ccc/cic-unit, it doesn't seem to be a revolutionary interieur - more an evolution over the actual Z4 - especially when looking at the climate controls (ok, it's 2-zone-climate now, that's new)

what worries me a bit is how good/bad you can get leather dashboard with that constellation...maybe become an expensive - because hard to build - equipment, this time...

and speedometer is viewable from the passenger seat now - not perfect for travelling with the ... from the actual Z4s passenger site you can't see into the tubes, what makes driving a lot more fun, hehe...

Seems as if it will feature an electric parking brake, like featured in the 7-series.

I hope they dont do this for the other BMW's...... i like to go sideways

Hm, the dashboard looks like it has some of the design clues taken from the CS!

Much more interesting than the current Z4 interior. I'm impressed so far.

I saw another interior pic a few days ago where the Z4 pictured had the same "sport automatic transmission" electronic shifter that I have in my '08 535i.

i love that fn CS!. It seeems like the CS in it's details was a hint for redesign of all models and not just a new flagship car.

The dash of this Z4 looks good. Is this for the redesigned Z4?

Agreed on all counts! I remeber a statement from Bangle after the launch of the current 7-series where he basicly said his big mistake was not properly announcing the new (current) BMW design language to the public ahead of the launch of the cars. So it looks like this time around BMW is telegraphing a few of its cars ahead of time to us with these concept vehicles. The CS is a beautiful car and seems to have alot of cues from some not to distant new models... which is a good thing

This test mule looks like it has a minimalist button design with a popout idrive/nav unit (guessing/wishful thinking on the popout part).. the perfect combo!

Much, much better. The IP follows the CS's to an extent, as it should, and the chunky steering wheel remains. I like the stitching beneath the HVAC controls.

Those HVAC knobs look like something out of a '67 Plymouth Fury. Yuck.

Think about it.. the current car is the LAST BMW that starts with a key. This thing will have the silly fob-in-the-dash setup (unless you shell out a pile of cash for comfort access and leave the fob in your pocket), the silly electronic parking brake, and the heavy, sporty-as-a-Lexus folding metal roof. COMPLETE departure from the current car, and in some not-so-good ways if you love the current car for the purist sports car reasons. And it's bigger, no doubt a LOT heavier, and much more of a cruiser than sports car. It'll probably sell well, but to a different crowd.

I HATE HATE HATE the pop up Nav screen. Why can't they properly design it in so it doesn't look like an after thought!!!!!!!

I think they are ballin-ish. but it does tend to look a bit un-thought out.
Nice SLK-like AC knobs

My understanding is that the new sat nav screen is fixed and bigger (like the 3 series one), and won't be a fold-up/fold-down unit.
