BMW 2NH (M Sport Brake) shortage delaying deliveries？

Ok will have to resign myself to the standard brakes....

What a shame I guess it saves my £30/month for something else.... maybe a couple of bottles of wine to drown my sorrows in.......

Interestingly my dealership is still saying they don’t have any more information on delays and will only know when my car goes into build next month!

Woh. Q3 2019! Forget 2nh then.

I've already ordered a set of RS29 pads for the standard brakes with some of the dosh saved on 2nh and the mperf carbon steering wheel trim too. Still got £450 to go...

I was looking at an M2 parked up yesterday and the standard brakes look huge anyway.

Yeah it’s not the greatest, but I’m sure the RS29’s will do they job

The money saved will be going towards a Ghost Install and Ceramic Coating for me, keeps the thieveing fu*** away and easier to clean during the 3 seasons of winter we have.

Apachesmith- my dealer can tell me about the brakes but refuses to give me my order number

Definitely a strange bunch!

Don't change the order yourself yet. Let things go as they are (with 2NH) and wait untill your car gets either built or your dealer tells you that you need to remove 2NH to get the car this year.

This worked out for me at least, car was built today including 2NH.

Has it gone into build yet? My car still has 2NH on the spec but my dealer said only when it goes to build will you be advised of any shortages!

Quick question for UK forum goers... is there a way of tracking the build of the M2C other than phoning your SA (who never calls or emails back......) I sound like a jilted lover reading that back.....

Expected Week 46-11-2018
Production Week 43-10-2018

So I guess not.

So I just placed my order for M2C a month ago in Germany. And Dealer told me that I can not even choose 2NH option anymore. They also mentioned they have some problems with Brembo as their supplier for 2NH.

2NH was available on bmw.de website Configurator. But now they even removed it from Configurator.

Anybody knows what that shortage caused by?

I ordered my car on the 4th Oct from a UK dealer, with 2NH and few other options.

My car is still not allocated a build date, the dealer has advised he will contact me again mid-Nov when hopefully a build slot will be allocated.

2NH Brakes are the reason for the non build allocation, if I remove this option I would get my car January ‘19.

With the winter weather due here in Scotland shortly, I’m more than happy driving my Focus RS for a while yet. It more than handled itself in the bad winter we had last year! So i’m in no rush

I guess that's the reason...

My dealer in Germany did not even propose to wait. They said 2NH not available. They also deleted this option from German configurator now.

Anyway I was not planning to use car for track days. So I will be picking my build on 10th Jan.

Hey folks

brake will be available again in may 2019 (Germany) I orderd my M2C in august 2018 for end of march 2019. My dealer ask me if I want to change to normal brakes to prevent delivery delay. I told them to keep the sport brake and got the new deliver date on friday. My dealer also told that the brake will be available in the configurator soon too.
