I’m on DINAN. Smoother ride over smaller bumps, same over medium, a little harsher on big bumps than OEM.

I’m dropped 1/2” in the front, 3/4” in the rear (track setup) and run 265/35 and 285/35 4Ss on the street on OEM rims. The front rubs the fender liner under compression bc it’s too tall. Will go 255/35 after these burn up.

I’m also throwing on 265/30 and 295/30 on some track wheels this Friday. Will need a 5mm spacer in the front to get ET 28 to not rub the suspension.

Overall, I’ve been very happy. Makes the car look much better slightly lower with fatter rubber, much less roll on track, and comfort wasn’t negatively impacted.

I have two setups: 18x9.5 that I run 265/35 square, and 19x9.5 & 19x10.5 for the 265/30 & 295/30.

With the same tire the staggered setup will be quicker, so I wanted to give it a shot and it will become my arrive and drive set. My 18s will now be used for slicks.

Thank you, great info. I’m thinking to do your staggered track setup too. I should do the math but how do the tire diameters compare to stock and front to back?

Okay I did the math. Front diameter is about 1/2 an inch smaller and rear is about 1/4 inch smaller. So not much difference between stock and this up size. Only one KM/H slower on the indicated speed.

The 295 looks nice and wide but in reality it’s only about and inch wider.

Check out my Max Rubber on the M2 thread in the Track section of the forum. You’ll see my logic flow as to how I got to this point.

Also, VMR 710FF’s are the cheapest wheels you’ll find for the staggered 19 setup. My shop just got them in. Doing my test fit on Friday.

After 8 track days and about 3500 miles on stock setup, I recently transitioned to MPerf Coilovers with GC Camber plates and a 265/35-18 square setup on Apex FL-5s and RE-71s. My instructor commented about the body roll into cornering and asked what suspension I was on. He suggested something firmer and knew of some adjustable sets for the M2/3/4. I used a 25% off coupon at my dealer for any part/accessory and used it on the MPerf coilover set to get it for $2k.

My first impressions is the adjustability is amazing. And I have little doubt that the stiffer track setup will prove to be dramatically improved. I had a test drive with the rebound settings 3 clicks off the hardest settings (front and rear) just to see how it felt, and it is amazingly stiff. I’m back to the factory rebound settings per the manual (9 clicks open on front and 12 clicks open in the back). My first track days on this new setup will be in 4 weeks. Can report back once I’m done.

The street settings are just fine for the street. The track settings on the street are way too stiff. This is the first time I've ever had adjustable coilovers and am, thus far, impressed.

Will report back after next track weekend in late May.

Any updates? I’m trying to figure out which way I go. Thanks.

I’ve been very satisfied with the M Perf Coilovers. Great on the track (4 days in) and great on the street. Can’t speak to any other suspension system, but endorse the BMW M Perf setup.

Awesome. I think I’m going to do the same set up, but hold off on the 18” wheels until next season.

Which track did you drive on? In Houston so I"m guessing MSRH? Any other track such as COTA, Harrishill or MSRC?

TIA

Q: What are the details of the M2 M Performance Suspension?
A: It is a non-adaptive, 2-way adjustable (rebound and damping) full coilover kit with custom strut and springs, manufactured by KW to BMW M's specs. It's also been tested on a four post rig and at the Nurburgring. Lowering range drops the car anywhere from 5mm to 25mm.

Note that it's actually 3-way adjustable (rebound, damping and height).
Rebound + comp + height adj does not = 3 way suspension.

Perhaps if you were to share the information you do have about same, and the benefits it offers verses stock, MPS, and the various other aftermarket options?

Was wondering how you like your Ohlins? What improvements do you notice on Track and Street. Were your Spring Rates 90/190? I am about to install a set.

In the end I fitted a Öhlins road & track supension (with the Öhlins recommended spring rate 90/190). The M2 is my daily driver that I also use +/- 8 times/year on Nürburgring. I drive with 21 on the street (rather soft) and 17-18 on Nürburgring (also not very stiff). I really love the suspension and extremely happy I choose the Öhlins set up instead of KW V3 (or M performance). I think the car driver better, the damper setting are way more easy and even when looking at the suspension you see the Öhlins build quality is much higher then the V3.

For me the car is only slightly lowered and for me this is perfect for daily driving.

On a cold Nürburgring the Öhlins was also a real joy

Slightly lowered (10 MM) is what I am looking for. Thanks for the review. Awesome driving BTW. I hope someday to drive on the Ring.

Hello, I ended up going for the AST which broke after 5k and I fitted the KW3 system and I was very happy with the results since I didn't track much, car is sold now!
