How Satisfied Are You ith the Color You Have Chosen?

How Satisfied Are You With The Color You Have Chosen?
Congrats to everyone that have already gotten their cars.

Just wondering for those who have already picked up there cars. Do they have any regrets on the colors they have chosen? For example, what are their long term thoughts on the LBB? MG?

My car will be going into production next month, therefore I still have the luxury of swapping. I have AW on order, and will most likely be going MG.

On a side note, my dealer says that my order was pushed into a 2017 model, therefore I will need to add a price difference for the 2017 model, which they say is around $4000. That being said, my order was placed back in Feb.
Has anyone experienced something like this? I'm located in Toronto.

Which dealership are you with that told you this? If your car is going into production next month (May) then you've got a MY2016 car. Have you actually received a production number and date? They said for sure that MY2017 has a price increase of $4K?

Unfortunately, they took in too many orders on the M2. They told me that my car would be here around sept. So im guessing it probably not going into production next month then. I got it from Maranello BMW in vaughan area.

That sounds a bit more likely...do you know where you are on their list?

I'm a little surprised that they already mentioned a price increase for MY2017. I think most people here (including myself) may fall into that category, but you're the first whose dealer is already talking about a price increase?

LBB here. Love it and have no regrets. This color truly shows the lines on this car. I get looks/compliments on the color everywhere I go.

No, I'm number two at my dealership who are delivering their first car in June. I'm hoping for an July allocation at this point.

LBB I'm really enjoying it. Having the black kidney grills put on soon. All the colors look really nice. Black would have been my second pick.

If your dealer is telling you Sept delivery it sounds like your car will start production in July or so. My car (HEA) only took a week or so to produce from start to finish. I'm figuring on 4-6 weeks of transit time from Germany. So with your timeline working backwards it would sound like your car will be manufactured in July. That fits with the switch over to the MY 2017.

As an aside ouch 4k year over year mark up. I hope that's wrong but I wouldn't be surprised. So many on the forum have been talking about how the price point is so close to the M235i and why would anyone want to get a M235i when the price is the same. Well now we know how BMW plans to fix that. Even with a 4k mark up it still would be a good deal. Even when more inventory comes on next year they will be "discounting" back to MY 2016 pricing.

Seems a little early for 2017 pricing to be circulated internally. $4,000 is a bit over a 5% increase, is it not? It's about 7% based on the US price. I believe I would be asking my CA to forward BMW's pricing when it is published.

The OP's question is about colour, but I think the info on potential MY2017 price hike is catching more attention

I will not see mine until the fall... so can't make an observation on my colour choice (LBB).

As for the price hike... I wonder if it is a dealer price hike or MSRP hike. As others have said, seems early for BMW to have made that determination, but maybe the dealer has decided on their own that a hike is needed to adjust to demand.

Happy with my BSM given that there was only 4 colors of which none really worked for me. I'll bet in 2017 they offer some other options.

I've only seen LBB and BSM in person and I have zero regrets getting black...other than needing to wash it everyday.

I was dead set on AW, then at the last minute changed to LBB. Couldn't be happier. So different from any other car (in terms of color) that I have ever owned. FWIW, first thing people say about the car, is "what a color!"... (in a good way...i hope )

I love my LBB. It's a great color and total head-turner with the lines of the car. People were passing up the HEA I got because they didn't want LBB. I would have ordered this color so...good for me!

Totally agree, an amazing colour that cannot properly be captured in photos. It really shows off the lines of the car, which the other colours don't do to the same extent. Not very subtle though, really stands out where ever you go, but IMO it is a special car so why not stand out in a special colour. Friends and family who have seen it and don't have bold colours on their cars absolutely love it which I was surprised at. I did initially want MG, but with LBB being the press colour, and the stitching inside being blue, and it being an M car only colour, I felt I had to go with it. Plus I had some of the best times of my life in Long Beach years ago, so it was like an omen!

It is definitely a bold color and NOT a bold type of person.

I got the LBB -> I'll learn to be bold.

The color looks great. I just want to pull up a chair next to my car and have a beer while admiring it.
