Considering the cruel joke CA DMV had on me, I should grab one of those M235i badges!

I've personally ordered a set (just M2 in black, not the competition part) from Aliexpress for $13 inc. shipping a few days ago. If the quality is good, I'll be a happy chappy.

The only thing that concerns me is how the M stripes may fade, but I've seen quite a few E46 M3s with faded stripes, so genuine parts are not immune to UV degradation either!
Can you send me a link to the aliexpress one for the black m2 badge, i really want this!

This is the one I used:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Glos...872291676.html

It hasn't arrived yet, but should be here by the end of the week. If you can wait, I can post some larger pictures and give you an honest opinion of the quality when it arrives.

My two cents...."[/QUOTE]

Oh and I'm sure it will even look better on a BSM M2(C). Not.

No idea what bmw was thinking putting a black m2 badge on a bsm m2 competition? I want to see it first with my own eyes but i can't imagine this looking good.

I'm probably the only one considering to remove the black m2 badge from my coming bsm m2c and replacing it with the original one...

So my badge arrived today, and as expected it is totally fake. The part number on it (51 147 187 129) corresponds to the M740Li badge, the piece of card protecting the back of the badge says 'Mercedes-Benz Genuine Parts Quality & Value', and the label says Made in Italiy.

Overall the quality of the badge looks quite good. It's glossy black, and the adhesive tape is well fitted. The font for the 2 however is not quite right; the top gap in the two is slightly too large. The biggest thing I'm unhappy about however is the size; it's about 20% undersized.

I'll post some pictures later today if I get chance.

I think if you were to fit it, no-one would notice. Until I did a side by side, I couldn't tell! It is wrong though, and it therefore won't be going on my car.

I'm probably going to stick with my vinyl wrapped stock one and order the genuine M2C badge once we can get a decent price from a dealer.

Hi.
Is there any chance to get your Competition section somehow?

Just got the aftermarket one. Looks good and it's glossy but there's a film on top.

I will compare to the original once I get home.

I agree with you! A black badge, while it looks sharp on a white M2C or M2, would simply get lost on a Black, and even Gray M2(C)....

I've seen other BMW's with dark paint and black M badges, and they're unreadable!
