Heck on M3, 2018 MY built before Jan 2018 was $65500 then Jan 1st 2018 BMWNA increased the price to $66500. Same engine, same seats, same suspension, same transmission, same color options.....even on DMV same MY 2018!

I'd pay $4k more for way better engine and suspension upgrade alone.

A lot of people did...BMW made the decision, one could argue mistake, of pushing huge incentives and high residuals on M3/4s late last year and early this. There were a lot of takers. For the average M car buyer, an M3/4 is infinitely more practical and an infinitely better value when the lease is the same or less. The M2 is basically a Jeremy Clarkson like quagmire. It's loud, it's in your face, it's not really practical and it's expensive. It shouldn't work. But it does...for a very limited audience.
