I would feel the genuine BMW parts would be better quality. But it may not be worth it to some people paying a premium. Unless those are the exact same lights. |

Wow that looks amazing. You might be the first to have this installed. I didn't realize it had Alcantara too. What was the cost + installation if you don't mind sharing?

Today, my M2 got its first stone chip...
Yes, only 600 km and already a stone chip ! Just one inch over the right BMW installed protective film just before the rear wheel. The paint on that car seems to be very fragile. That only confirms that I've made the right decision by having Xpel installed on the whole front end (bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors) and rocker pannels... I removed the wireless charger and put in the rubber tray. It is so nice to have the extra depth in the console and I got rid of something I will never use.
Thanks to the directions at this link that made the job easy b/c I didn't have to figure out where the connectors for the charger are located. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=31

Got the annoying LED hyper flash and random light show coded out, as well as coded off the corner lamps. Much thanks to CodeMyCar.com for the continued excellent service...

Even though he was removing a snap in adapter, the instructions at the link are exact EXCEPT he states and pictures that you need a Torx driver but really a small flat head, hook tool or similar is only used to release the connectors. The rest is done with trim tools and fingers. Just like the instructions, it was necessary to pull hard (you think you are going to break the charger) to get the charger to release. I found to easier to do from the passenger side, sitting in the back seat. Your gonna be back there to remove the vent and unplug the cables, so I just moved the front seat all the way forward and set the tools on the floor in the back and did all the work from there.

That looks stunning! Now the perfect match with the rest of the carbon parts would be if you ordered 32302413480. That is like the rest of the carbon, not the shiny one you have got.

I bought it off an M4 forum member who had his car for 8 months, so practically new for $1200 (AUD), install was $250 (AUD). There's a really good DIY in the forum and you can install it yourself but I didn't have the time. I know the carbon is different to the M2 carbon but I actually prefer it. There's nothing close in eye view to show a contrast so it doesn't clash. I find the gloss matches better with the gloss of the LED section. Shift lights came in handy yesterday at the track, no need to look down to pick shift points. Being the first time out for the M2 it really helped. |
