No Wheel Lock Key Included?
I have a 2020 M2C, just lifted up the car to install spacers and realized that there are wheel locks on the car but no key included.
I checked the glove box and the rear cargo area and nothing. I also checked inside the little tool bag they give you and only received a screw driver and the tow hook. I just reached out to my sales associate, but figured I would post here as well in case I’m missing something. Thanks! -Jeff |

My wheel lock socket was in the center console. I definitely would talk to your sales associate.

Mine came with one. I believe it was in the trunk.
Be sure to check that the locking lug bolts are tight. These are port installed. Two of mine came off while driving and the other two were only finger tight. Luckily the wheels were not damaged. This occurred within the first 1500 miles or so. Likely an isolated occurrence, but still a good idea to check. I will answer before the question is asked: no, there was not an attempt to steal my wheels. I would also obtain a back up key, which is easily procured from McGard for less than $20.00. There are a couple security checks to be sure you own the car.

I’m an idiot, found the wheel lock. Didn’t even realize I pulled a tiny box out with the extra lugs when I got it.
I’m assuming these are dealer or port installed? |

Looks like you don't have wheel locks. I did the same on mine. Just not worth the hassle. |

Best anti theft feature is road grime from the pike that bakes in no matter how much I clean em Cleaning them to spotless 45 min then 10 miles later filthy, I don't bother anymore (wheels) I did put a simple spray on wipe off coating on @ new it helped just 10%? but will need a more thorough job to get the results I want (no time now) maybe next month |

Weird...random wheel locks? Mine doesn't have them, which is fine by me as wheel thefts are not an issue where I live. But I do wonder how BMW decides which cars have them and which ones do not...

I don’t have wheel locks either and I have every option including lots of extras that were ordered like SS pedals, Carbon M mats, etc,... I don’t put a lot of faith in wheel locks as they tend to be more trouble than they are worth.
Any one get nitrogen air in their tires?? |

For those that had the port installed wheel locks, did they leave you the original lugs when they replaced them with the locked ones?

One of the first things I will go with my M2C, as with all my BMWs, is to remove the wheel locks. The key they provide is easily striped... had it happend to me twice. Might get some better ones, but the stock ones are junk.

I agree with this. a lost key can make life a bit shittier when you need it, and you cant find it, or the tire installer forgot to put it back. I had wheel locks on a car a long time ago, and I would wake up in the middle of the night wondering if the key was still there....

I have had BMW wheel locks for over a decade with zero problems. There is a set on my current M2.
