Tires on a budget

I'm looking to wrap my new Titan 7 TS5s in some new tires since the OEM ones wont fit unless stretched. I like the Michelins but unfortunately they're a bit out of my budget since they're so expensive but I want something that has good grip, and tire life. my budget is about 700-800 dollars

I don't think a set around $800 is necessarily cheap. Michelin Pilot Sport 4s are on the higher side for a street tire but something like Firestone Firehawk Indy 500, Hankook Ventus Evo2, or Continental ExtremeContact Sport would be ones I would look at and definitely get if I had to.

You could also look into lightly used sets?

Agreed. Had them on a previous BMW. Stock OG M2 sizes are $800, an incredible value.

The Potenza S007A is probably most similar to the Michelins.

from personal experience on a previous car, the evo2s are noisy and have terrrible grip in the wet and terrible treadlife. you'll end up spending more money in the end. wet traction gets noticeably even worse as the tires wear more before their end of life.

Tires are literally what connect you to the road. If there's one thing not to cheap out on it's rubber.

ExtremeContact Sport are good tires and comparable to PSS, I would not go any cheaper. I don’t really understand buying a 40-50k M2 and wheels and putting cheap tires on it, but obviously it’s your decision.

+1 this. I've run PSS, PS4S, and the Conti ECS on my M3 and its a very capable tire. Just as good if not better than the michelins in the wet. In the dry and on track (HPDE days) it tends to grease easily and wear the shoulders out much quicker than the michelins.

As previous people mentioned. The Firestone indy is a good tire; its basically the same tire mighty car mods runs on all their cars.

Have you considered fitting DitchSeekers? These are cheap (rather than being merely inexpensive), but will fully meet the the requirement to fit round black things to the new wheels of your M2...

Another +1 to the Firehawk Indy 500's. Wet weather isn't great, but I went for a spirited drive in NorCal yesterday in 30-50's and even cold grip was great.
