Icy cold weather vs. M2 windows
Hello,
I live in Maryland, and now since winter has recently started, it has happen multiple times in where overnight freezing temperatures leading to frost over the cars and the windows. I have a 2017 M2 (6-speed manual). One thing I have noticed is; I am not able to do a remote start. Also, everytime I go to open the door, the window lowers about an inch before I am able to open it. I become nervous if there is frost on the window, because I fear it might break it. My question: Are there any recommendation for how I should deal with this potential problem with the freeze and the windows that automatically drop before opening the door? Are there any tricks that can be useful? Thanks in advanced. -Oscar: thumsup: |

You shouldn't worry, frost or ice on the door would not be strong enough to prevent the window from opening.
As a recommendation; you can hold the open button down to open your windows and check before you open the door to ensure that the windows are open
