Check this out ... I found this on eBay... I don't know if it's original or not

Good price if you buy it just for the m2 blacked out emblem.

Just what we all need.

But it does look like the “Competition” is separate. So it could be a cheap way to get a black M2 badge.

Only for fun, I'll bet it'll be bought by someone who's insecure about their "OG" M2.

So many ppl (poseurs) - at least here in MD - are obsessed with putting badge upgrades on the wrong car - just last week I was leaving work in my M2 and was right behind a late-model 750i and the guy had stuck an ///M badge in front of the 750i label, as if a 750i owner - or anyone else for that matter - needs to be insecure about a car.

Bought one (from BMW dealer) and fitted mine Saturday. Competition section left in the packaging.

Goes nicely with the OEM Black Chrome Exhaust tips too.

Part number is 51148079564 for those that are interested in buying it.

I've personally ordered a set (just M2 in black, not the competition part) from Aliexpress for $13 inc. shipping a few days ago. If the quality is good, I'll be a happy chappy.

The only thing that concerns me is how the M stripes may fade, but I've seen quite a few E46 M3s with faded stripes, so genuine parts are not immune to UV degradation either!

Wondering if the size of the black badge "M2" from M2C is identical to the chrome "M2" badge from OG M2.

Is the part from the ebay genuine OE from BMW?

I've got the mineral gray, as well, and the black M2 logo just seems to be much more difficult to see and/or read, then the original.

My two cents....

Ordered one already.
Hope the size is all good. If they are genuine badge, should not be a quality issue..Just wish that the size is same as normal M2 badge..

It is a little lost but in chrome it's way too bling when all other chrome is gone!

No different to M3/M4 Comp in MG.

I have the black kidneys, black side markers, black carbon fiber mirrors and rear spoiler on my Alpine White - that chrome M2 badge on the rear deck lid has to go!

Just asked my parts guy at the dealer to order that part #51148079564 and will ditch the Competition piece when it comes in.

Got to have it all Black and White for the contrast.

I am considering the black alternative as well for my MG. BTW, my apology for OT but your PM is full, I noticed your black tips are not slanted like the M3/M4 comp ones, do you happen to have a P/N for the ones you have fitted? Thanks.
