Done! I'm out of town all week and have my service scheduled for the following Monday. When I called to book the appointment, the guy on the phone said "...and what kind of car is it?" Naturally, I responded "M2". There was a 5 second pause. I actually thought that the call had dropped. He then said, "You have an M2?! Oh my god, I'm so excited to see it! I'm probably more excited than you are!"
BMW of Austin still hasn't gotten atxsk8r's car yet so I guess they haven't seen one. Was cool talking to someone that was genuinely excited about the car. |

Can you elaborate? Don't they just change fluids at break in? Nothing to do with CPU or anything....Do you think it's because you can open it up more? I'm just curious as I'm only about 400 miles away from my break in service...

I actually picked up my car yesterday It got to the dealer on Thurs and i left it there for a day. I picked it up and drove it right home, been in the garage all weekend due to crappy weather and going to the X games. I'll take some pics and post once the sun comes out

Could it be psychological? sure, but the fact that the SA acknowledge similar impressions and comparison to M3/M4 makes me think there's more to it. Could it be enabling overboost? |

3135 miles, 1700 of those were driving it home from the PC in SC on 4/21. 1200 miles service was done cheerfully and quickly by BMW of Lincoln NE during the drive home. They were tickled pink to see it, since they didn't even know when they'd be getting their HEA car.
Also, two track days at High Plains. Admittedly, the longest I ran non-stop was about 25 minutes, but I sure didn't feel any need to mess with the brakes. Only mods are the ASD defeat jumper, and a US millworks front plate mount (no bumper holes for me). |

Almost 7000 km in two months (April 29 delivery).
All sorts of roads and speed ranging from 0 to 270 km/h (including stretches of unrestricted German Autobahn and approx. 15 mountain passes). Strictly observed BMW's break-in instructions.
