M2C Windshield
I have a crack in my windshield already, and none of my distrbutors have info on a 2019 M2C. My question, do our cars have the same windshield as the n55 M2, or even a M235i or is there something miniscule that would differentiate one from the other? Thanks in advance.

Doesn't your car insurance cover the front windshield for free? here in Florida they do, I think it's a state law
edit: What states will replace your windshield for free? Answer: Only Florida, Kentucky, and South Carolina waive the car insurance deductible for windshield repair or replacement and thus are referred to as having free windshield replacement or as zero deductible states .... and this is probably why we pay more for car insurance |

Call Safelite and they bill insurance directly. They also have access to logged OEM glass if that is your preference and insurance will pay. Also equipped to do required recalibrations. |

However, be careful when whomever is removing the rain sensor and KAFAS camera, as the harnesses are feeble and can easily snap off the PCB, which can end up costing more.. |

Ugh. I'm sorry man, I had my windshield replaced after 3 weeks of ownership, thanks to a nice six inch crack.
I got mine replaced at the dealership and billed my insurance. I still had to pay my deductable, but with a car this new, I didn't want to mess around. I've seen really awful corrosion from rushed windscreen replacements and just didn't feel like taking the extra risk. |

I feel your pain. I owned mine for 5 days and a truck kicked up a rock into my windshield. I went through my insurance and used Safelite. I did not need re-calibration after the install. Most of the time it is not needed. If I did need it it was part of my claim and my insurance would have paid a BMW dealer to perform the service.
Side notes from my experience: - windshield only, did not need new rain sensor or any of the other stuff a dealer will charge you for. - Safelite total windshield and install was around $700. If I had known that I would have never made the claim and would have just paid our of pocket. - Some places Safelite has the ability to perform the re-calibration, mine did not. Just my 2 cents. Wishing you the best with your repair.
