MO1 is a designation for a Mercedes specific tire. These should just be "*" marked which is BMW's designation for a model specific tire.

Yes, sorry, corrected my post. I meant DT1.

Got it, sorry about my double post. I tried to edit to include the TR link and somehow double posted.

Speaking of which though...in the specifications for Cup2 240 tires, TireRack shows the * for the Connect version and then shows the * DT1 for the non-connect Cup2 240 version, so I'm a bit confused on that, but it's a trivial point really.

Yes, someone asked me to look at my tires specifically because of the tire rack discrepancy. I have the * and the DT1. The new tires I bought from Costco go on Monday. They were listed as BMW factory equipment but I need to confirm the * and DT1 on them.

Mine are definitely connect tires because I run the track connect sensors

You must've just posted right before I posted my request

It's crazy how the compound looks so heat cycled and cracked

I did a track day on the Sep 12. My tires usually don't get worked that far over on the tread, so you're seeing a pretty representative look of the compound from the track. I did get a lot of wear on the shoulder at the beginning of a session with really low pressure. I could feel the car rolling the tires over. Most of the sessions got very nice wear out to the shoulder. This tells me the tires are very well match to the stock suspension and brakes when in the ideal temp/pressure zone.

IF you were going to drive these on the street where would you set the pressure considering I always set the front 1 psi higher than the rear because of the weight of the car?

Like 35 front 34 rear?

Depends on the season. Usually when outside temps start getting down to the fifties and highs lower than 90 I'll fill them 36psi cold. This way they get to the pressure window during my short commute. Keeps them around 39psi on long highway drives. In the summer I'm down to 34/35 cold. In winter when temps stay below 50F I'll fill them to 37 to 38 psi cold. I've driven them with temps in the upper 20s. I can still get them up above 65F tire temps on the way to work due to the increased pressure. I fill them all the same, but front drivers side could really use a half psi lower to keep temps equal with the other tires.

So interesting

That's the benefit of the connect system you're in the know on info that really matters
