Anyone use BM3 and Bimmercode together?

Just curious who has a BM3 flash tune and also uses another coding app such as bimmercode or bimmerlink to do other things? If yes, once I reflash to a new map or back to stock does it also wipe any other coding that was done with other apps?

Yup, they don’t interfere. BM3 is ECU tuning, while BimmerCode is programming other modules on the car.

For common features like ASD, I assume BM3 & BimmerCode are just making the same coding changes to that specific entry in that module.

Cool, thanks. When I flash again or flash back to stock using bm3 does it reset all modules and thus wipe any coding done by bimmercode?

Thanks. So it sounds like if I code anything in bimmercode before I go to the dealer, do I undue any changes I made or is there a simple way to go back to stock in bimmercode?

I’m not the best person to ask, as I haven’t had to do that. I would ask in the BimmerCode thread.

I believe you can load your original backup file in bimmercode.

You can use both but since they sometime code the same module, a change in 1 will change the other

Concur will all. I use both (bimmercode and BM3) to include Carly.

im running the bm3 zf8 trans flash, do you think coding in the zf8 sport auto programming with bimmercode while im running the bm3 flash would be fine? or maybe flash back to stock, sport auto coding, then re flash bm3?

Reviving an old thread because the weirdest thing happened to me the other day.

So a couple days ago I was messing around in BimmerCode and then right after coding I remember taking my friend for a spin in my new car and noticed it was extremely down in power. I didn't think twice about it because I thought having a passenger and accelerating uphill was probably the reason why.

I then checked into my BM3 app and noticed I'm back to my stock flash tune. I never did this but remember seeing my ECU was reset after the coding. I was running the stage 2 93 tune beforehand. This is very odd.

I'm lowkey scared I might've done something to my DME now to where I can't reflash. I'm probably overthinking. But I'm also out of town so I can't go home and try the reflash to stage 2 for a while. Someone help put my mind to ease!! Lol
