Greasy gunk in the engine bay

Hello everyone, I have noticed for awhile now that I have some grease like material building up on the passenger side front frame
area near/underneath the coolant reservoir. I inspected my hoses and I can’t seem to locate where it is coming from. I might need to look a bit closer. I also have the grease like material on the driver side as well but not as severe. Any ideas? thanks!!

It's a cosmoline sort of substance sprayed on and in area from factory as protectant.
It tends to weep out or seep out in hot months. Some cars a bit more rich, so to speak. It comes off nicely with alcohol, and saturated microfiber rag or shop towel. A bit fiddly to clean but worth it. Now unless you have something I haven't seen before or someone with more intel on it, it's the above.

+1

I just leave mine as is, and wipe dust from the engine bay as needed.

I live in Las Vegas and it makes a huge mess in my car. I clean it every chance I get but it seeps around the whole engine bay (probably while driving). It also comes out of my trunk lid and drips down the rear bumper.

At least it cleans up easily.
