Accessing Sunroof motor for power

My radar detector is currently powered by the rain sensor circuit and an RG11. However, there is a new detector coming that needs more power than an RG11 can handle and will use a USB type C connection.

1) I am thinking the sunroof motor might be a big enough circuit to tap into but dont the specs?

2) is there a guide or video on how to take the trim pieces down for access?

Thanks

I assume you're referring to the upcoming Radenso Theia

I am also waiting for it to come out, but have a similar uncertainty about where to get power for the USB-C connection

Hopefully some of the resident gurus can offer advice

Since I don't have a sunroof that wouldn't be an option for me

You could always tap the wires going to the cigarette lighter socket and run the usb-c up the a-pillar.

Some people noted there's a hidden cig lighter socket underneath the glovebox area

Think we will be ok. In Jon's latest video he said they will be providing some type of step down adapter, 12v>5, and that current mirror taps should work with Theia.
