BHPnrefers to brake horse power just FYI. BSHP or brake specific horse power is the most accurate way to measure power when calculating things like fueling requirements and VE Volumetric Efficiency...

Today, auto manufacturers advertise SAE net HP... “When achieving a net-horsepower number, the engine must be tested in as-installed condition, utilizing factory-specific ignition timing, fuel delivery, exhaust (including manifolds and mufflers), and other accessories like the alternator and water pump. In short, this delivers a closer approximation of how much power an engine produces as installed in the car.” This SAE net HP figure becomes wheel HP after considering the transmission, driveline, differential efficiency losses. “The net rating system was used until 2005, when the SAE issued standard J2723. This standard clarifies the existing methodology, but also requires an independent observer be present when the testing is done.” |

This is what I'm doing... - CS map (until I get used to it) - then CS+ (until I get used to it) - and finally stage 1 All 3 of these can be run with stock components. Stage 2 requires a few upgrades such as...downpipes and maybe intercooler? |

i have to say that i have never driven a tuned m2 competition but we tuned a lot of m4 and i believe that it is the perfect car to die. Of course skilled drivel could enjoy every single slide out of it but the average one...damn, they became to angry in stage 1 never mind the stage 2.
FYI for the stage 2 intercooler is mandatory because they tend to overheat a lot. |
