'21 m2C water in trunk at self wash
Hello everyone,
This is your daily...nm... New member and owner here. I tried searching the googs and specifically here for info on water leaking into the trunk. Saw multiple threads regarding older vehicles but nothing specifically for the m2's. So it's a brand new vehicle that I took delivery of. Went to wash at a self wash and while drying the vehicle, I noticed that there was water in my trunk. Luckily there was a rubber mat there to collect the water or else it would went straight to the floor of the trunk. Is this something a dealer can correct or am I SOL and will have to correct this myself. If myself, any input on how I can tackle this? Sorry if this has been brought up, couldn't find it via the search option. edit: I guess I should ask the obvious, is this covered under warranty? Thanks for any thoughts on this. People have had problems with water going behind the trunk liner and frying the amp during window tint installation. But you don't see it. Water inside the trunk is odd and I've never heard of it. Sounds like a trip to the dealer.

Get it in to dealer ASAP. I had water getting into my trunk on my old 335 - it corroded some wires and ended up blowing a computer module.
