MY2021 M2 Competition? What's new on it?

Dealer just told me the MY2021 production started this month on the M2. First of all, can anyone confirm that? Secondly, anyone know if there's any changes at all from MY2020 to MY2021 on the M2C?

There is a thread just less than halfway down the page
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1689770

But general consensus:
2021 production starts March (meaning April/May arrivals).
No one knows what is new or included in it, versus the 2020

Thanks! I think I read through that thread, but didn't see anything about MY2021 even being in production yet so I figured I'd start a new one given my dealer just told me that MY2021 is already in production.

I think your dealer is lying to you. EOP for 2020s are end of June. Multiple people have said that and I'm pretty sure I saw a BMW sheet at some point that confirms this. Maybe allocations are our for 2021 already?

It would be incredible if MY21 starts delivery in April / May. But I don't think that is the case due to MY20 EOP?

Also if that was the case, I would have thought MY21 specs would be released by now.

Hey, I'm all about an earlier MY21 release. Waiting just for that news to decide if I should place an order

My bad. The 2021 should be out during the usual BMW cycle...Sept deliveries?

I'll check my info when I get back to see if there are in fact any changes. I highly doubt it though.

Usually they tweak some options around, move things in or out of packages, and raise the msrp $300. Unlikely they add that one option you may be holding out for. Especially with no real rumors floating around.

Yeah i cant imagine what options they could add that would make me regret getting the 2020. So they mak Executive Package free...well i got it for free anyways...maybe they add in the first aid kit and the USB pack for free? But even then, really worth the potential increase in MSRP just fora few overpriced cables and bandaids?

all the cool options are on the M2CS... I don't think they would offer the carbon roof, adj suspension, CCB, misano blue, etc.

Maybe new wheels?

Sorry, false alarm. My dealer was mistaken. Seems like he had wrong info across the board. :/

Fairly certain, much earlier than Sept. My 2020 was ordered June 2019 and delivered to me on August 2020, there were several 2020s delivered prior to me even ordering

Wow, so you're saying some 2020s were *delivered* in May 2019? If that's the case, then I would imagine we should expect 2021s to start getting delivered in 2-3 months, no?

Earliest I know of is July 2019 for a 2020 that was delivered. Don't think May is possible. Maybe late June.

My 2020 arrived on April 23rd in Bellevue WA (so it arrived technically 2 weeks prior on the East coast) and was in my hands on April 25th. Just a FYI.

Post-LCI the only thing you usually get is a price increase. Might get a new color if they are feeling especially gracious. Probably not since this car is made in Leipzig.

My 2020 M2C was delivered April 19 '19. The first in the area. The model change over was late February if I recall.

2020 started showing up in late April/early May 2019. I remember checking one out a local dealership just before heading to Germany to pick mine up.

No SOP on the 2021 is 7/20. Which is different than last year when it was 2/19.

2021 models may be in more limited supply than previous years with an 11mo production run and some of that time focused on CS production.
