Personally the E46 M3 is the "best" M driver's car IMO, while the E92 M3 is the "best" M car covering double duty (road and track).

FYI The M2 is longer, wider and taller than the E46 3 series, so take that as liking "smaller" M cars.

Actually, the M2 is .6” shorter in length, with a 1.5” shorter wheelbase, than the E46 M3. The track is wider, and the M2 is 1.5” taller. But the M2 is not longer.

The standard 3 series E46 coupe is same length as M3 (.1” shorter in length actually), and .2” shorter in wheelbase than the E46 M3.

The M2 and the E46 M3 are more or less same dimensions. Does the extra .5” really make a difference? (That’s what she said)
