Hey guys! Getting ready to take my car in for break in service on Monday. Wondering if there's any common issues etc I should bring up to my SA when I take it in?

Have them prepare the Fetzer valve with some 3 in 1 oil.

Tell them you want to accompany tech when he/she goes for the test drive.

What if he is a she?

And this is a mass produced $60k car, why would the tech risk their job doing something stupid? The car just isn’t that special. Worse, the OP will become “one of those guys” to the dealer.

Heck, I don’t even ask for this kind of nonsense when I drop my 1M off.

Just put a dash cam in or something temporarily. Usually will keep them on their best behavior without you having to waste time.

They will almost undoubtedly unplug it. California is a 2 party recording state, but I believe this is for audio only.

^^^ Reactive, post review footage doesn't stop the known problem; however uncommon it may be. Sure, a car cam in plain view will lessen the likely hood of abuse, but no guarantee. I'd rather be pro-active.

I have been able to have both my cars serviced without a tech driving. If it is a situation where driving is necessary, the techs have indicated not a problem. It does not have to be an adversarial situation . It's your car and your money. Just another consumer choice, no different than some wanting PPF others not so much, etc...
