[QUOTE=saint3448;19824416]Well, I don't want to upset anyone but I got a $ 4472 discount in France by threatening to go and buy the car in Germany where it's cheaper. I really was going to do that.
Here's the invoice showing the € 4000 discount which equates to 6 % on the price before environmental tax. The price is sky high because it includes € 6500 in environmental tax based on the manual gearbox CO2 figure.

Why not just €70K
(but congrats for the discount off course, I also think the wait would be eventually much longer if you bought it in Germany...) But yep expensive because of that bloody CO2 tax , M2 6MT starts in NL from est €86.800,00..... Cheers Robin |

Well I didn't want to overdo it because the salesman was terrified he'd end up being crucified by his boss !

Tell me that you - who likes extra fresh air inside cars - also opted for the glass sliding roof too. Otherwise, add it. I like my 'retractable roof spoiler' too.

Update 5/29/19
Got the opurtunity to "run" a stock M2....
I was running a 20% e-85 blend and VRSF Catless Downpipe. Important to note, other car had 2 passengers (the gf (petite) and a buddy, so prob about 250lbs more. Other driver had previously had a modded 135i and is an experienced and maybe even more capable driver. From a 10mph roll I had a strong, consistant and steady pull...10mph-130mph (EST) maybe more, about 3-4 cars ahead...In my old e92 m3, I'd say this was all due to weight difference, but bc of the torque, I concluded that the combo of e85/dp netted significant gains.... Upwards of 40whp/TQ, conservatively, IMO. Obviously this is not a very scientific comparison, but the lead was big enough to make that conclusion. PS...Also very telling (and mentioned in 3 previous post) I ran a F series M3 (Muffler Delete, Sport Cat, and Charge pipe)...This is before the DP, with VP Racing Octane Booster. Est about 108AKI... Results were surprising....from approx. 20mph roll, I instantaneously took a rather large lead (3-4 cars), and held the lead to about 120-130mph. It goes without saying, the M3 was tearing up to pass me when we had to slow down for traffic. All in all, it seems I would have had the lower ET 1/4 (Not by much) mile but probably a 10-20 mph lower trap AT LEAST. Note: M3 Driver claims he was in Comfort or Sport and not Sport plus...Not sure the difference that makes in a straight line at WOT. I'm guessing its more of an affect on driveability ie throttle response, ASD volume, steering feel, suspension feel...But I was shocked by the result.

Update 5/29/16 Cont...
Parts on order...
BMS Intake (For Sound, the claimed 10whp would be nice, but I do think this intake will be a must down the line as I push more power/run larger turbo, etc. OEM BMW Carbon Fiber ///MPerformance Shift know w/ alacantra boot (For M235i)... A few SUBTLE decals...No "sticker charging" just some additions to exaggerate the body lines... ========================================== Tues: 5/31/19 Break in service Weds: Off to Enzo Performance for ECU Calibration that he will be using as a bench mark for future M2 bench tunes. If your not familiar with Enzo or his shop, you should be as he a world famous tuner of high end cars...Stay tuned as there will be tons of dyno charts, and a tremendous amount of information about the potential and some solid numbers on our cars... Being a former tuner, and based on my past experience w turbo cars and tuning I'd be shocked to see less than 420whp+/ and and even bigger increase in TQ. Enzo estimates an even bigger gain, and he is the authority on these engines...Either way, needless to say I am EXTREMELY excited to see what this "BMW magician" can do... Enzo Performance Official Tuning Thread feat. yours truely...

Last Post of the day...
I think I made a decision on the wheels...Still debating finish (gold/bronze or gunmetal/ anthracite...
The 20"s are on the official M2 safety car. I'd be running 19"'s with an agressive offset and eventual drop when springs or cheaper coil overs are released.. Also probably will be using raised white tire lettering to accent the wheels like my past M3... Votes on Finish? Opinions?
