I mean, it's not really the same in terms of a lot of the hardware. In terms of derivation, yeah it is.

But hell, if if it's a good engine, I don't give a damn if it's got A B C D Z X K or whatever in front. It's a sweet, fairly unique engine that sounds like a beast, I'll take it 10/10.

Thanks for running out front, guys. Any chance of seeing the graph for timing, A/F, and boost as well?

Three words and a question mark:

"Factory matching warranty?"

That's awesome lol

Finally got to see/hear an m2 with m perf exhaust in person - wow. But even more impressive is the new 340i with m perf exhaust.

Can't wait to see what a few other bolt-ons can do.

Not sure either, but legend has it that the M2 mirrors begin to evolve and change shape after breaking 380 WHP.

Yes, BMW put an aggressive tune on the M2 which shows timing retard on 91 octane. I agree that, with everything else being equal, the higher octane should provide an additional 15-20bhp.

"On normal pump 91 octane fuel running its factory 15-16psi boost profile it had fairly significant timing pull and only put down 330whp" - Terry.

Looking forward to more developments

BeePee, zenmaster both good points. I think some are overlooking that Terry had the M2 in his hands for a very short period of time. The 91 gas in the tank could have been below average. Also, the octane booster he added to the tank may not have fully mixed in the couple minutes we waited before running it again. Cool down time on the dyno was minimal. Maybe a dozen runs in 60 minutes or so? Perhaps this M2 is a below average sample? All these variables could be a factor. I'd not discount any other tuners results, we should applaud the increase in sample size.

Nice work Tuning Tech.

Those numbers mean nothing without being compared to other cars under same condition.

We will post the airfuel when comparing the 17 psi to 20 psi. I believe the video of the car hitting 17psi is on Instagram.

It is all good. We had our share of joking about it too. This should be more to your liking.

And the other cars mean nothing unless compared to some more cars of the same condition right. We have other before and after graphs from when the car was bone stock too.

Do you have to remove the ECU for this flash or can it be done by OBD?

Pretty certain it's a removal/bench flash.
