Right! The only car BMW produced with matching interior/exterior/engine components in 1x1 plain weave was the E46 M3 CSL. The parts were beautifully fabricated. I had the OEM CF center console/armrest delete in my '05 IB ZCP M3 thanks to Crevier BMW. At the time my buddy Vaheh was able to procure OEM CSL parts through the dealer. If my pockets had been deeper at the time, I would've purchased the CF interior door panels too. Some other lucky chap on E46Fanatics bought those from my buddy. Sigh! Good times!

Quite amazed about some of the marketing bla bla bla in the press release info...

New differential? Some are reporting this... Not in a 1000 years. Just the same maybe recalibrated. Where can I get the software?

Three radiators, an oil cooler, two pumps in the oil pan, oil sump baffle... Doesn't the M2C have most of this already?

Transmission oil cooler (when equipped with DCT)... Isn't that standard on a M2C with DCT?

The carbon tunnel in the interior is lovely... I need one of those hahaha that is so cool.

Steel subframe bolted to the body frame without bushings... Interesting, that I can add to my car as well if it has a big impact.

Forged aluminum rear five-link suspension control arms and wheel hubs.... Also interesting to see these. Easy replacement on our M2C's.

15.75-inch vented rotors with 6-piston fixed calipers up front & 14.96-inch vented rotors with 4-piston calipers in rear.... In what way I am I reading here the exact same specs as my M sport brake kit? I have a feeling these are just our (in US stock) M Sport brakes.

Did anyone notice the exhaust? Is that the same exhaust as currently with just different end pipes?

MR
The direct bolt to the frame gives you a much different feel to the car. Very precise. This can also be achieved with some coil over kits which remove the rubber bushings.

There are companies that do make metal kits for the cars to change the bushing set up. like for example M3 bushings on the E90 335. etc... IND etc.

Hood, ok 10K USD, fenders, and trunk save weight, exhaust really needs to be changed. Wheels need changed to BBS F1R. Pads will need a change for sure.
Aside from all these mods you end up spending another 20K in parts to make it what you want.

DCT option is a no brainer.

Cost for a semi track focused car. About 100K plus 20K in mods, is not bad.

I will have to see how things are at Porsche these days. But we are talking about nearly 200K for a new 911 Carrara S well optioned, GT3 starts at 163 and GT3 RS is 200K plus.

It's big money for cars.

EU laws are there for the environment and emissions.

I suggest you don't decat unless you want to trade in your M2 for a canoe.

Interesting to see that under the CF trunk you have a mount for the wing. or is it for something else.

Looks fantastic! Special looking M2, at least BMW aren't scared of shaking up the pecking order (having an M2 being as powerful as M4).

I agree the wheels would look better in gunmetal/black but otherwise great little car, bets it's a hoot to drive. Will be interesting to see how the adjustable dampers change things on this platform...

I see what Artemis is saying price is in Europe....but, that would equate to well over $100k in USD. So, VAT has to be backed out I believe....otherwise, at $100k+ they will surely sit on dealer lots and potentially we could make a play for one in late 2020 with incentives and discounts.
Of course the M2 CS base price for the US will be lower than the European price (€95K for Germany). US price is currently unknown yet.

My guesstimate was/is $85K as base price for the US (see here). I mean, if I were on the US market, I'd consider everything below $85K as a 'bonus' for this car. But don't take my guesstimate as gospel - I got zero information about the US price.

Don't know whether this has been posted yet, but here's a picture of the M2 CS featuring the M2 CS Racing. No carbon mirror caps, normal hood and a weird choice of headlights on the Racing. Looks badass though.

Key specs:
95 000€
280-365hp, later also 450hp
DCT

I suspect the headlights are the same as the M235i/240i Racing. Maybe it's cause racing homologation for headlights are more strict so they didn't want to run through it again (the M235i/40i's did VLN races and such). I don't think they'll change it.

Yeah, I think so too. Guessing it's partly to keep the costs down as well. Using a normal hood and mirror caps lower the price, while the performance stays virtually the same (the 5 or 7kg weight savings of the hood is achieved cheaper somwhere else). After all, racing cars aren't bought for their looks.

That’s just crazy pricing putting it in the same bracket as a GT4

There is nothing they need to do to run wider wheels / tires, just as an example, I'm running 9.5 x 20 ET23 on the front (stock 9x19 ET29) and 11x20 ET40 on the rear (Stock 10x19 ET40) with a 285 tire...with KW v3 coilovers this is just a perfect fit

Thanks for sharing!

So for Switzerland it is basically the same as an GT4 if you opt with DCT...wooow!

It is a nice special car, but me personally would opt in for a GT4 in that price range...would not spend that much money on an platform that is now 6 years old...

So I guess the US guys now have something to start with, just check out the GT4 pricing in the US

outside of the exclusivity... which no one knows what that is yet... this car will sit at dealerships for ages with that price...

if you read that entire spec sheet... this car offers an exhaust, tune, a few cf bits and adap susp over the regular m2 comp... a serious track guy will install a solid set of coils anyways... that effectively leaves this car with almost nothing to offer...
