73.700 euro for the Coupé (No Optionals) 74.600 euro for the Roadster (No Optionals) The M2 costs 62,400 euro base... Audi Optionals seem also more expensive. Price wise I see no comparison. |

You cannot configure an M2, just 1 trim. Of course it will be cheaper. The M2 seats are not special, the whole interior plus engine that's almost a second faster from 0-60mph (from very fast to supercar fast), etc...that's why it costs 10k more. Check how much the MPE (performance exhaust) costs. Plus you need to pay labor for it too! But it is actually pretty easy to decide between these 2 cars. Do you care alot for a high quality/special interior? Don't care for maximum traction and acceleration? If not, just get the M2, it is fast enough. And cheaper. However, if you do own an M2, DO NOT get inside a TT RS, you will be heavily tempted xD |

I believe the Dynamic package includes the OLED taillights, a non standalone option. That's got to be at the top of your priority list.

For 10k I can buy used M4 seats, upholster the dash in Alcantara, get a Stage 4 Turbo upgrade + Remap, Full M-Performance Interior accessory package and possibly a decent set of coil-overs... You keep mentioning that the Audi TT-RS has supercar numbers. Yes, this is true. But I'd rather buy a certified used supercar (R8, Porsche etc.) than the TT-RS. Truth is, no one buys the M2 thinking that they are buying a supercar. The TT-RS owners instead do. Whilst the TT-RS might outperform the M2 or any other car in its price range, it will always look silly when put next to the real supercars. Also, putting brand loyalty and bias aside, do you really think TT-RS owners won't get bored of the car quickly? For a little more in the used section of cars you can get the real supercar experience. |

The problem with cars like the R8 is that it gets too much unwanted attention. Coming from previously owned both cars I know the ttrs gets as much attention as my M2 which is good.
With a supercar interior and speed it sound like a nice toy before M2cs arrival. |

Also, MP exhaust still costs more than 1k. M2 is a great daily driver although a bit stiff, not that I noticed it much. As for the OLED and the dynamic package, I would not pay thousands for a more uncomfortable suspension and breaks I won't truly take advantage off. I would get OLED apart and if I can't, no biggie, the rear LED lights look good enough, way better than the m2 tailights. |

Go for it! Sounds nice. Question, does M2 have adaptive cruise control like my 435i? (Auto brake and accel during traffic) |

Was interested in the ttrs but the options I want make it more than I want to spend on a car that will virtually see no track time.
Ttrs 65,875 575 nardo 3500 tech(need b&o) 1750 black optic (hate the silver trim) 900 design interior (need this to differentiate from tt/tts) 1000 rs sport exhaust 73600 total $81,254 (10.4% tax) $0 incentives -vs- M2 Alpine white(not a fan of other colors), dct, exec pkg 57,795 pre total -2,500 fleet 55,295 total $61,046 (10.4% tax) $0 incentives I know my case is different than other but the way I like these cars I cannot for the life of me justify 20k delta ESP when 10k more is 911 territory.

@Oled You must be dreaming if you think most people consider the Audi to be better looking than the M2. The front of the Audi looks okay (minus the front splitter), but the side and rear leave a lot to be desired. I mean the wheel fenders look stuck on... lol. Of course looks are subjective but I would wager more people like the look of the BMW.
You bring up how good the interior is and the options like adaptive cruise control etc. but why buy a sports car for those reasons? You spend most of your time looking out the front window so who cares what the interior look like? And if you are using adaptive cruise control in a car like that you may as well have bought a Hyundai. Launch control is fun the first couple times but gets old pretty quick. Too many people seem focused on 0-60 times, I would much rather have a car that is fun to take through a twisty road. But go ahead and spend the extra money on an interior you won't even look at while driving, and the second or two faster lap around a track you will probably never go to, in a car that looks to me like a VW beetle. |

If you want to look at it from another perspective, at 65k+, you're already in M3 and M4 land - I just traded in my 981 for an F80 ZCP, and I can tell you that the little Audi would not have been on my radar. It simply costs too much for what you're getting. If I wanted an impractical, fast, two-seater, I would have a Porsche Cayman, which I did. I would be very surprised if the TT-RS could "hang" with a Cayman (981 or 718) on the driving dynamics side - but an M2 really can hold its own, and is 20+K cheaper. That's the magic of the thing. I also have no doubt my similarly specced and priced M3 would have better driving dynamics as well - with all the creature comforts that you consistently reference as advantage points for the TT-RS.

The interior of the TT-RS is indeed one of the best things about the car - I also think it looks good - the M2 looks good as well, but in a different way if that makes sense. The sound of that 5 cylinder is also very special as well... I just think if Audi was going to make a baby R8, they should have made the TT-RS look more the part - while I do find it to be a good looking car, it doesn't resemble the R8 in any meaningful way. It is and is supposed to be a souped-up TT.

Get off your lazy ass, pick up the phone and go find your own allocation. If you actually looked around instead of crying about how hard it is to find a car while just waiting for Classic BMW to call you in 2020 you might have a car by now. I've passed along 3 allocations and had my car for 6 months already and I barely tried to look outside the DFW area. |

Looks aside, if Audi wanted to make it a baby R8, they would've made it mid-engine...the best possible place for one as you know....Just the opposite, they put a transverse engine completely fore of the front axle...the worst possible place for one. The car is just inherently built wrong.

That's what I was hinting at - so many aspects of the TT-RS are not conducive to an entertaining driving experience. And if straight-line speed is his thing, then there are (as always) much cheaper and faster alternatives. My gf has an Audi Q3 and loves it. It is beautifully made and has an awesome ride and interior. But you're asking a lot of the front wheels, even when the car has Quattro. The inherent feel and advantage of a RWD car is really hard to beat...

"If you use adaptive cruise control, you should get a Hyundai"
What kind of retard says this? What part of shared and only car do you people not understand? And it is for traffic and rush hour, CHRIST. Just goes to show how fucking touchy you all are when I mention something that gives an advantage over the damn M2. I don't even know if the TT RS has it, just ASKED. Incredible. Like I said, it is more expensive, but the interior, comfort, technology, speed and sound balances out a few hundred bucks a month especially when it is a DD shared with wife. |
