Been a while since someone wanted buyers protection via PayPal, apparently PayPal rides on the inflation wave as well. They charge 5.5% for buyers protection now, changed the first page with the new fee.

Got my brake cooling kit from Andre this week, and the quality is excellent. He is great to work with, and I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with him again in the future.
It will be fun doing track days next year to baseline myself, and then installing this and seeing what improvements I can feel. A4CDED7A-8A65-4E8E-B9AF-4936BCD3B5A3 by riderx56, on Flickr |

Are there options for just the metal hardware and then digital files for self printing?

That's not an option, that would mean I give up all control of re-distribution and re-sale of my files.

I've finally come around to scanning both front and rear axle of the F8X M chassis. I had a complete rear axle laying around for my Z3 Coupe project which made it a lot easier to scan. Would have been a nightmare to do it on the M2. The backing plates were a little rough so I had to make one of them as straight as I could.
My priority will be on making a product for the rear axle which mounts using the ABS bolt and an additional location, no modification will be needed excapt cutting a window in the backing plate for the air flow. As for the front sometime next year there might be a product similar to the BMW M2 Cup cars use.

The ducts for the rear backing plates are done, the intakes for the rear lower control arms are up next.

The design for the rear brake cooling is now done, I'll print one side and testfit to confirm everything works as intended.

The rear brake cooling kit is finished and fitted to my M2, fitted just like I wanted it to. I re-designed the duct for the backing plate to make it more printer friendly and sturdy. The duct for the control arm got through koles instead of holes made for sheet metal screws. Now there will be stainless hardware just like the backing plates up front.
The price for a rear kit is 250$ but if you have purchased, or purchase, a front kit from me you will get a 50$ discount. The rear kit includes ducts for the control arms and meshes, ducts for the backing plates, hose holders for the control arms and as per usual bolts (for the ABS-sensor), nuts (low fine pitched M12s for the control arm bolts), washers (extra wide for both the ABS-sensor and control arm) and zip ties. No hose or hose clamps are included. Pictures of one of the sides. Here you can see the mesh fastened with sheet metal screws, but this will be replaced with through holes and stainless hardware. The hose holders are side specific to fit the chamfer of the BMW original control arm to allow for enough clearance to the spring. If anyone is runing different arms please let me know and I will make custom hose holders if needed. A couple of pictures of the duct for the backing plate, because of the advanced angle/shape of the arm going to the ABS-sensor bolt I got some cosmetic defects. Structurally it's more than up to the task, it's almost solid. I will try some different settings to combat this, but I can't make any promises that I can fix it completely. A small window will have to be cut in the backing plate, I eye balled the hole on my car so it isn't perfect. A 3D-printed template will be included in the kit for precise marking before cutting. My Dremel was useless so I had to resort to the angle grinder (which I f*cked up ) and cleaned it up with an air drill with a metal burr bit. I highly recommend the air drill because it allows you to be precise and it eats through the aluminium very fast. De-burr the edges with a utility knife or specific tool. 15-20 mm of clearance to the sway bar end link. Just a temporary nut, didn't have any other fine pitched M12s in the garage nor did I have the right washer. I have ordered all the hardware which will arrive during next week. 100-120 mm of clearance everywhere between the control arm duct and the Milltek exhaust on my M2. About 15 mm of clearance to the spring. 18 mm of clearance between the hose and barrel with a 19" BMW Original wheel mounted, which will give aprox. 5 mm of clearance with an 18" wheel (depending on design of course).

The last kit eligible for a free bonus was snagged by bmcph.
I took some fresh pictures since I had a complete rear kit ready and also a few pictures from the installation of the right side. The following is included in a rear kit: - 2x Ducts for the backing plates (right/left) - 2x Ducts with meshes for the lower control arms (right/left) - 2x Hose holders for the toe arms (right/left) - 1x Cutting template - Zip ties (16x short & 8x long), bolts (2x M6x25), nuts (2x low M12x1.5), washers (2x M6x19 & 2x M12x28) A picture of how the cutting template should be placed on the backing plate, there's a left and right side of the cutting template (the "L" should be visible on the left side and "R" on the right side). The edge of the cutting template should be pushed against the pressed round edge on the backing plate (green arrow) and the radius of the cutting template shall rest against the pressed radius where the bell (brake disc) sits at (green dotted line). Mark the inside of the cutting template (red dotted line) with a sharpie. There's probably different ways of doing this but I drilled a 10 mm hole and pursued with a pneumatic die grinder with a metall burr bit. Do it step by step. Install the duct by hand tightening the nut and check the clearance. I used a file for the last bit. When you're happy with the shape de-burr the edges with a utility knife or a de-burr tool. The duct sits on top of the nut to the toe arm and there's enough thread left for a washer and a low nut. Use a dab of Loctite, don't over tighten! The duct also mounts at the same location as the ABS-sensor, longer bolts and wide washers are included in the kit. I recommend protecting the wire (green arrow) to the ABS-sensor with a few layers of electric tape made of polyester (durable and low friction). The hose holders are unique for each side to fit the chamfer of the toe arm. And finally a picture of the right side installed.

It's been a long and cold winter so far in Sweden so I've been indoor working on a V2 of the front kit and here's the result. I painted the first 2 kits now, 1 will be test fitted on my car and the second will be sent out to F87Source who will do a review of the kit.
The bigger ducts on the control arms are the same as the V1 kit (if someone would want to upgrade in the future I will make a special price for you) but the small duct and the backing plate/funnels are a new design. I've tried to take all feedback into consideration and that's why the backing plate is larger to cover all the joints and now there's active cooling onto the calipers as well. This kit is mainly for all the blue caliper boys out there (at least the caliper parts) to proove all the naysayers out there that the stock brakes are the way to go on track. - The price for this new V2 front kit will be 500$, enlargers for both the small and big control arm ducts are included. The hose holders for this kit have been updated (not in these pictures though) as well as the ducts and enlargers for the control arms. - For those looking to upgrade from a V1 to a V2 kit the price will be 350$, if you didn't have the enlargers from before I will include them free of charge. - And from now on all V1 kits will have the enlargers included, free of charge.

I believe he can ship world wide. You can't just 3d print the scoops even he sold the files (I doubt he would because they can easily be shared thereafter) because the backing plates are not 3d printed. They're cut from metal sheets.

So here's some pictures of the new Race kit, installation pictures/instructions will be posted shortly. To make it more clear I will rename the old Race kit to Clubsport.

Hi,
Could you please quote me for a clubsport front kit shipped to uk. Any chance you can include hoses and clamps too. It’s just easier to use the same ones used in your photos Thanks |

I have installed the new Race kit and everything fits and clears with a few well placed hose holders and some pre-clocking of the hoses to make them turn the way you want. I'll finish up the installation guide as a PDF this week.
