And all of this still retains the factory warranty, what a time to be alive!

The M2 CSL will have to ditch that front bumper for a CSL-ized one.

Why the hell doesn't it come with a powerdome hood/bonnet from the beginning, BMW...

Definitely going to option those rims! Not so sure I like the looks of the boot though. Other parts might be cheaper aftermarket.. Especially that exhaust, BMW already rips you off with the MPE but now with titanium muffler, I can't imagine what they want to charge. Though I wonder what it'll sound like..

2011 BMW M3  [0.00]
In the M2C thread I said bmw finally made my dream car. I was wrong, deep in my subconscious this was scratching me and I didn't even know it. NOW bmw made my dream car! Yessss.

I wonder what SCCA solo class this will be placed in

Because the original powerdome (E92 M3 IIRC) was actually necessary to fit the engine under the hood.

Any "powerdome" nowadays is just a lump on the hood and has fuck all to do with accommodating more power.

Which is why I don't get people wanting to see a "powerdome" on the current car. It's nothing more than a cosmetic lump with no purpose. Sure it may look nice, but it's like a third fake boob - purely cosmetic and non-functional.

Let me get this straight, we can order an M performance CF roof replacing the steel one from factory?

I wonder how much money is the M performance brake kit is compared to the optional 6pot caliper set up. Move over, is there any performance difference? Because red calipers look bad a$$.

Wow this looks epic.

Although I wonder who would pay for all these options when you could probably end up just buying an M4 competition for the same price?

many folks that like smaller nimbler chassis. personally I have no interest in a boat m4 no matter the price. Actually would pay happily for M2 cf parts and upgrades

Don't the M4 and M2C weigh nearly the same??

Well okay, Guilty...

Cosmetic, and without function, but still inexplicably appealing...

Well ya know the same can be said for dual/quad exhaust. Anyways, the powerdome is just another visual queue pointing to performance/sporty nature of the car. The E46 M3 had one as well.

They're close enough as almost makes no difference on the weight, but the M4 is a significantly larger chassis, at least in length (like 11" + IIRC).
I took one on an Autocross, and I was seriously unimpressed.
Then again, I'm coming from 6 years in a modded 135, so size tolerance is relative.

I'm not surprise; after the success of the M2 and their MP line in general, it was expected that BMW would make the M2C a money-grab..
