Having zero BMW ED experience, I wanted to consult the knowledgeable folks on this thread on a few minor ED details. Apologies if this should've been posted elsewhere. Thanks in advance for your help.

1) Want to keep the German zoll (ED) plates. With Audi ED, I requested this from CA and let the loginout.de lady at the drop-off know. She left a note on the dashboard and the outcome was both plates stored in the trunk at redelivery. How to ensure same outcome with BMW?

2) Ditto the "BMW Freude am Fahren" frame, which all BMW ED sport at the back. How to make sure it is still on the car at redelivery? Older posts indicate this could be bought at Welt or German BMW dealers. Newer posts claim both sources have dried out.

3) Want to keep the windshield stickers untouched. Namely, German emissions (round green "4") and A/CH toll (vignette) stickers. For Audi ED, took a picture of these and sent them to CA. His detailing crew skipped the windshield. How to ensure same outcome with BMW ED?

I think I told the drop off people and also told my CA last time. Sometimes the plates are removed, but usually not. I told CA not to wash or even touch it...car was delivered filthy and I drove straight down the road to my guy for paint correction/perfection/coating. Sometimes the emergency triangle is stolen and there's not much you can do there, apparently.

My previous ED's - the zoll plates were left of the vehicle. I still have both sets.
As for the frame - It was still on the vehicle on my last one, but I don't think the first one had it for some reason.
I had nothing removed from the windshield either on any delivery. All the emissions and vignette's stayed until I had to replace the it - thanks Colorado winters.

As mentioned - you'll want to remove the medical kit and hazard triangle and bring them home yourself. Often times they are removed since it's not required equipment stateside.

wanted to second this post. Just make sure you tell your SA at the local dealership. Usually, stickers and plates get removed at local dealership delivery.

Thanks, Helles and somberlaine.
Sounds like it is all in local dealer's hands.
Will make sure to request with the CA that the car is untouched after it arrives from the port.

I was just told by my CA we have allocations! Now to get the date...Update: Order is in...111 status. Changed to silver wheels after some thought. Also ditched the moonroof and added the M Driver's Package. I want that higher speed limiter for the Autobahn.

Alright!! More good news.

Raven got back to us this morning and said she was working through a backlog of allocations and my delivery date should be confirmed "by Monday night".

Fingers crossed.

111 Status! Just waiting on date. I chose black wheels, but may have second thoughts. Any opinions?

Me too! I changed to the silver after some searching and thought...I think they pop on the orange. On the AW, harder to tell...but I am liking the silver more and more.

Exciting news across the board for everyone!

I am also 111-status now AND i have my delivery date confirmed!!!

I will be taking delivery of my new baby on 9/9

Anyone else in here looking for delivery the same week? I am talking to two others taking delivery of some M5's on 9/8 and 9/9 and possibly arranging a lunch or dinner meet.

Awesome, the Sunset Orange ranks are growing. I've changed your build on the first page...safe to assume you're going with the orange stitching?

Still waiting for my allocation. I called the dealer today, not feeling good about things. Looks like everyone is getting allocations/dates...

I have faith for you. I thought for sure last week I wasn't going to get one. Now I've found out all three of my dates are not available due to BMW event at the Welt. Really hoping I can get the next best date...otherwise it's a total mess scheduling wise.

But, I also have the BMWCCA 15% discount, so $1550 credit is worth about $1825. $2700-1825 is $875. I am pretty sure I'll gladly pay $875 for the pleasure of getting into the 170s on the autobahn.
I am working on special rate with my friends at Manhart on ecu tuning. They can perform it locally in munich right after delivery. Its 500hp and vmax limiter is removed.

You're planning to turn the car back in tuned? That seems bold!
